Article III of the United States Constitution makes one remedy for judicial tyranny as plain as language can make it.
“The judicial Power of the United States,” Section I of Article III begins, “shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”
With that plain language undoubtedly in mind, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida took to the social media platform X Wednesday morning to offer a historically plausible solution to the problem of inferior federal judges who have insisted upon “sabotaging” President Donald Trump’s popular agenda.
“Congress has the authority to strip jurisdiction of the federal courts to decide these cases in the first place,” DeSantis wrote.
Moreover, the governor noted that congressional Republicans dropped the ball on this issue

I’m with Ron DeSantis on this one.
Huh. Imagine that.
“...the governor noted that congressional Republicans dropped the ball ...”
Not Again!
More like, Congressional Republicans acting like Lucy with the football.
There’s no sense of urgency or problem in Congress. Nothing touches them. It’s like a nineteenth century gentlemen’s club. They even have pages running around with notes on silver platters. There’s nothing to motivate them to get out of their wing chairs, collect their walkers and clump onto the Congressional floor to actually advocate for something.
Works for me.
Wow! half a day without De Santis OR Bondi OR Patel hate
Perhaps this isn’t Free Republic?
Mike Johnson spends more time starching his ties and hair.
I’m glad somebody besides us is saying this.
congressional Republicans dropped the ball on this issue
nope. Most of them are just fine with a judge doing what they wanted to do but were to chicken to say it.
Easier to get votes than impeachment?
Perhaps?
If the dems approval keeps falling... maybe it could get some of their votes.
Why blame Johnson? He has to deal with about 100 RINOs who would try to look like they supported such an initiative in front of the cameras but would drag their feet and stonewall in private.
Good to hear DeSantis speaking out here.
Wowsers!!
Great idea, Gov. DeSantis!
Yep. Me too...
He’s the Speaker
I have mixed feelings about his proposal.
I have little respect for the legislative branch as it has abdicated its constitutional powers in many ways.
I would rather see this be a pure struggle between the executive and judicial branches.
Trump don’t need no stinkin legislative branch to muck things up as they seem to muck up everything they touch.
Trump can handle this.
He has the ultimate “trump” card which is how do you enforce your claimed jurisdiction over the executive.
Answer: Impeachment is your only recourse and that solely belongs to the legislative branch which impeaches and then has a trial to convict or acquit.
Great idea!
