When Chuck Berry was arrested one of his defenses was his relationship with the young woman was that she spoke fluent Spanish and she was teaching him so he could add Spanish to his songwriting. Judge didn’t buy it.
The movie scene in Cadillac Records showed Berry in his new car and two girls coming over offering to teach him some things if he opened his car door for them one night.
Protecting students from pervy teachers is not coddling. Students should be able to trust that an adult teacher is not sizing them up for a sexual relationship. This is not a bar - it’s a school.
Teen boys have a hard time functioning at all in school due to their hormonal stage, and predatory teachers do not help anyone.
She looked a little hippy in her new years photograph and other pictures, but still not guilty.
This one is easy. Every guy he tells until he is sixty will know he is the GOAT and will want his autograph. He will not tell women because they do not have the need to know.
In spite of what you think, he was not used by the woman. His peers will not avoid him, just the opposite, because they will want pointers on how he did it.

Nothing in the article mentions that the teacher was married, or had a current boyfriend. She was presumably single, and at 33 would be receptive to attention from an attractive male.
Nothing in the article suggests that the teacher initiated the relationship, or solicited or offered sex. It only says she engaged in sex.
The 17 year-old male may well have initiated the relationship, perhaps he developed a crush/infatuation on her due to her attractiveness, and sought friendship with the aim of an eventual sexual relationship. In fact I see that as a very possible, even likely scenario.
She unquestionably showed very poor judgment in having sexual contact with a minor student, no argument there. But calling her a pervert and a predator is assuming facts not in evidence.
Teach, can we go over the concept of the prepositions for “in” and “out” just a few more times, PLEEEESE?

How many parents will even hear about it? Remember, his name won't be in the media as a "minor" and "victim".

See answer #1 how many parents will even hear of it wrt him and how many of his male friends would ever listen to their parents and stop hanging out with their buddy because he bagged a teacher? Try 0. Instead they'll give him a high five for it.

Well since he won't be ignored by his peers but will instead be lauded by them that first part won't happen. As for being "used by an adult", I think he'll count himself lucky. At that age, I know I'd have considered myself damn lucky to score with a chick as hot as that....her being a teacher probably just adds extra spice in his mind. That's definitely how I and everybody I knew at that age would have looked at it.
4. What are the chances he understands she 'chose' him because he's young enough for her to utterly control, unlike men her own age?
What are the chances he couldn't care less about that? What are the chances he's just happy he got to bang her? Pretty damn high.
5. How will a 'sexual reward' for being a controlled lackey for a pervert impact his future understanding of whom to date in the future?
I don't see this doing any harm to his psyche or ego. He'll just chalk it up as a really good score. With his buddies it will be "you remember when I banged our hot Spanish teacher?" for the rest of his life.
You are definitely not looking at this like a guy - and especially not like a 17 year old guy. They simply wouldn't think about it long term or deeply (ie "OMG! I was being used" etc). That's not how guys think - ESPECIALLY at that age.
