A driver shot during a road rage incident in Louisville is the one facing charges.
The incident started Wednesday morning at Taylor Boulevard and Beecher street and was caught on the road rage victim's dash camera.
According to police, Graham Bain was driving aggressively and cut off another vehicle multiple times. Bain chased that vehicle, too, LMPD said.
A police report said that behavior caused the other driver to fear for the safety of their passengers — three girls — and fire a shot at Bain's car.
During the chase, the driver's car got disabled on Carlisle Avenue near Taylor Boulevard.
The driver then had Bain at gunpoint and demanded Bain stop. But when Bain appeared to put the car back in gear, the driver fired multiple shots, hitting Bain in the abdomen, police said.
After Bain was hit, LMPD said Bain hit the driver's car again.
Bain is charged with four counts of wanton endangerment, one for each person in the other car, and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Police said Bain will then be taken to Louisville Metro Corrections.
The driver who fired shots is not facing any charges.
I don’t think that’s really new. Sure being a crappy driver is bad, but using your car as a weapon is, well, assault. And that’s illegal.
I put the Rove 4KDual in all of our vehicles.
$125 if you catch it on sale at amazon. Spend an extra $20 or so on the UV filter. Makes a world of difference cutting the glare.
2/5/25 another driver made a left against the light and I took the whole side off of her pos chevy cruze with the front end of my RAM 2500.
If I hadn’t had dash cam video it would have been a he said/she said deal and I’d have been on the hook for at least 50% of the liability.
With dash cam video the liability fell 100% on the other driver.
I would want to get the hell out of there if the guy shot me
Well worth the investment!
OMG!!!
Happened to me a few months ago. I have a dash cam, both front & back & interior. Old guy in a Ram truck bashed the rear of my car. He tried to get out of responsibility, and his insurance was giving me the runaround. Until I sent video to his insurance showing I wasn't moving and clearly showing his recklessly plowing into my car. His insurance then quickly settled and fixed my car.
Highly recommend getting a good dash cam that records all around your vehicle.
