When I first saw Lester, he seemed manly and serious. Then the disappointment after I heard what he was saying. It’s like realizing that Dan Rather was not a conservative plain-spoken Texan - he merely played one. Al Gore seemed to have character, at least compared to Bill. Then it turns out that he was just a different kind of grifter. George Will or Bill Kristol as the face of conservatism? Need I say more?

It reminds me of something I saw in a movie. Two beautiful young women talking in animated fashion at an outdoor cafe on a spring day. What a heavenly sight. I wonder what they are saying. Then the words came “and he was like ... and I was like ... etc.” Oh well, what was I expecting?
