In 2023, the U.S. job market experienced a trend where nearly 25% of all job gains were attributed to government positions, underscoring a significant reliance on public sector employment to sustain economic growth.
This development is particularly striking given the broader context of a thriving economy, marked by impressive job additions and the robust performance of the tech sector. Despite these broader economic successes, the surge in government jobs reveals a nuanced landscape of employment, raising questions about the sustainability and quality of job growth.

So... if you see a bump in unemployment under Trump, don’t be surprised the libs will try to make hay of it.
Maybe I’m putting things together that don’t really go together, but ...
First news story we’ve been told: Almost all new jobs under Biden went to illegal aliens and not to Americans.
Second news story we’ve been told: 25% of new jobs are in government.
So ... was Biden just throwing government jobs to illegal aliens as they crossed the border?
trumps job poll numbers for next month are gonna suck...
bigly
This is the same exact thing that is killing California...
A large number of new unemployed guberment workers ought to be cause for Celebration. But they will play the numbers against Trump.
When will they start showing up at major intersections holding cardboard signs that say:
WILL PROPAGANDIZE FOR FOOD.
ANYTHING HELPS......
All new federal employees are subject to a one year probation period.
During that period they can be fired at any time for any reason.
Lets do it!
President Trump is a lame duck.
He could not care less who plays what numbers.
P.S. The bullet that hit his ear kinda got his attention. The days of stupid political games are so over.
And probably a huge number of the remaining new jobs went to illegals.
Imagine a remote village where the village elders decided to create a great economy by hiring any unemployed laborers to the tune of a $1 million annual salary. (They can print money to finance it, so no problem there). Pretty soon all the unemployed are "gainfully employed" by the village government, digging and filling in ditches. It's such a great gig that employed workers jump ship so they can earn $1 million/year too (it's not like the village elders care, so the "digging" doesn't amount to much, nor did anyone ask for the ditches or filling them back in anyway).
Economic reports keep showing the village economy growing like gangbusters as more and more people find their way into the government job program. But oddly enough, people start getting more and more unhappy. They are actually whining about the lack of stuff on store shelves. Actual goods and services that people actually want are not getting produced. So the economic reports diverge from reality, because the government is hiring workers to do things besides producing products people actually need. That, in a nutshell, was the Biden economy.
DC is full of do little to nothing jobs. Its become beacon for young brainwashed Karens.
