Significant portion of employers revealed they'd rather hire artificial intelligence robots than bring a Gen Z graduate into the company, according to a new survey.
Roughly 37 percent of employers said they'd rather hire AI than a recent graduate, according to a new survey from Hult International Business School.

You don't get hired because 1) you don't know anything, and B) you won't listen to anyone.
AI programs costs nothing beyond the original development expenses, computer costs, electricity and maybe maintenance costs . If it can replace several Humans, it’ll save all the expenses associated. For a large corporation, it makes perfect sense.
That said, I am against AI programs being used as such.
Emphasis on “B”.
Young hires out of school would just spend their time hating the President and his crew and the hiring company would eventually slide down the tube.
Robots don’t come into work one day and announce they’ve changed to the other sex. They don’t sue you for using the “wrong” pronouns. They don’t demand time off to take their emotional support animal to the vet. They don’t accuse your male employees of sexual harassment. They don’t claim to be the victims of racism.
Tests have shown that Western AI is wrong over half the time .... nonetheless, that may be better than Gen Z, who [as a generalization] simply lie and make shite up if they don’t know the answer ...
This will cause more serious ramifications in participation and consuming.
What happens when companies do not have enough customers to buy anything because the customers--in the end--have no income to speak of because companies have replaced too many humans (read: customers/consumers) with AI machines/robots?
“You don’t get hired because 1) you don’t know anything, and B) you won’t listen to anyone.”
C) since you don’t listen to anyone, then you’ll NEVER know anything ...
Ive also noticed Gen Z doesn’t take the bull that previous generations did. they wont play the games. If its not the job,its not theirs to do. They are also very value conscious (right or wrong) Their time is valuable to them, You get so much of it and thats it. Overtime, loyalty, staying power, quid pro quo etc. not their bag. Old timers and traditionalists don’t like it and call it spoiled brats. They will shift paradigms if AI doesn’t beat them to it.
A famous lift truck company used to hire the brightest High School graduates and train them for key positions in engineering sales and administration.
Worked very owell and the practice was a boon to retention!
Gen Z!
Kind of suggests that is the last crop of humans doesn’t it?
Would make sense to see AI as the replacement entity.
Just a thought. Who comes up with these generational names?
Boomers is about the only one that makes any sense. Post war population explosion and a “boom” in economic growth and technological progress.
Most employers hate dealing with employees and would replace them with automated machines, droids and AI if it was financially feasible.
Hard to argue with some of that. Office politics are ridiculous. I guess Gen Z has watched Office Space
Cue the “Learn to code, lol.” crowd here.
Your analysis is spot on.
The biggest issue with technological progress is the fact that a certain % of the population is incapable at a mental level to handle higher technical difficulty jobs. Someone who is a fantastic receptionist or phone agent may not be able to be a nurse or a programmer.

AI is crap. This push will bite our economy is butt, wait and see.
Yup—AI may make dumb mistakes but at least it does not give you attitude when you tell it to fix it.
BZZZT! Check that assertion.
There are plenty more operational costs to an AI system.
And there are ongoing training expenses with curated input. CHAT-GPT reportedly has over 400 people involved with such activities.
And that curated input - comes from human beings, not AIs. Cycling AI outputs back into AI inputs rapidly creates unstable behavior that renders the system insane and useless.
Useful AI programs will be expensive, and they will still require large numbers of smart people to make them work. Somebody has to pay for all that work.
