U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran, a Kansas Republican, said there was a moral imperative for the U.S. government to deliver international food aid to starving people. He also said it was important to not undermine market opportunities for U.S. commodities in wake of Trump administration maneuvering to close the U.S. Agency for International Development. (Kansas Reflector screen capture of U.S. Senate video)
TOPEKA — U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas said a freeze on federal funding and change at the U.S. Agency for International Development left $340 million in lifesaving food grown in the United States sitting at domestic ports awaiting delivery to locations around the world where people were starving.

I say feed them...but take the money out of the paychecks of all the politicians that approved the program in the first place.
Kansas would be wise to get rid of such a F’ing MORON.
What an idiot! Doesn’t he read the news?
“Trump decided to pause Foreign Aid for 90 days — reasonable enough. A couple days later the White House said this USAID leadership was trying to circumvent this Executive Order. That alerted the DOGE team and Elon confirmed this on X. He said all DOGE did was check to see which Federal Agency was violating Trump’s orders the most and that turned out to be USAID, so that became our focus.”
Nice bulls eye he’s now wearing.
Trump said any pressing issues like food delivery would not be stopped.
But truth be told, the food almost Never lands in the hands of those who need it...usually ends up taken by warlords, etc.
That is the reason we ended up in that “Black Hawk Down” situation.
Trying to remedy the situation.
No more tryingto remedy infighting and civil wars...if we can dump food straight to the innocents, great...but not at any risk to our own.
And I think it’s noble to help feed those who thrugh no fault of their own are starving.
Dropping them guns and ammo may help them more in a number of cases.
We’re 36 trillion bucks in debt..the world hates us no matter what we do or don’t do, so let’s start paying down that debt.
In the LONG RUN, we will be able to help more of the RIGHT people woh deserve it.
Yep the uniparty rushes in to save the USAID money laundering op.
AI word search for Moran on NGO expenditures....
coming soon.
Soemone should audit him... How much RAT money via US aid has this little boy received?
Let someone else feed them, the US needs to feed American citizens FIRST.
But truth be told, the food almost Never lands in the hands of those who need it...usually ends up taken by warlords, etc.
Even “Bill Clinton” pointed that out.

Why don’t they feed hungry Americans?!
Moron!
Love how dumb the uniparty is. Time to see how USAID funds were used to bribe the rino
The uniparty has gotten caught flatfooted.
Anybody with half a brain would be keeping a super low profile right now...
What a back stabbing traitor. This prick just handed every media outlet the ammo they needed.
We are beginning to learn there are no more coincidences any more.
The only folks supporting AID are on the payroll either directly or indirectly.
In his case we just don’t know the details—yet.
there was such a good Tea Party candidate we had lined up against this gope back in the day. lost by a very narrow margin as i recall. too bad.
Musk asked where are the presidents and prime ministers of those countries being helped with that “food aid” that’s been cut? Not a single peep! Why, because food wasn’t what the racket was exporting.
Have we heard from the starving Romanian LBGT victims of misgendering? THAT’S what USAID says we are spending the money on in Romania. Who is actually complaining? The talking head stooges of the CIA and shadow state are screaming bloody murder. That’s who lost the funding.
Who are quietly celebrating this rebirth of independence in Romania? The people of Romania and the current elected officials who are being blocked from assuming power by USAID provocateurs.
Literally millions of innocent people would have died around the world in the next decade during USAID engineered and financed color revolutions.
Or does he mean there is a moral imperative for the taxpayers to purchase food grown by his constituents?
THAT is EXACTLY what he means!
