It was less than a year ago, in April 2024, that then-candidate Donald Trump went on a late-night tear against Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“I lived with RFK Jr. in New York and watched him convince Governor Cuomo to make Environmental moves that were outright NASTY,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Upstate New York was not allowed to drill or frack as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and others ripped off New York Energy. Because of this, prices have skyrocketed all over that part of the Country.”
“I’d even take Biden over Junior, because our Country would last a year or two longer prior to collapse.”
Referring to him as a Democratic plant, Trump added that RFK is “an Extreme Environmentalist who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative, a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate, and Anti-Military/Vet …”
RFK Jr. called himself an independent, “but he’s not,” Trump wrote. “He’s a Radical Left Lunatic.”
“No Republican can vote for this guy.”
Mr. President, you were right.
On Thursday, Senate hearings begin on RFK Jr.’s nomination as secretary for the Department of Health and Human Services.
But nothing has changed about Kennedy from last spring. He’s still a radical left lunatic who is anti-energy, a “big time” taxer and completely incoherent about our nation’s health.

I’m very skeptical of Trump’s two democrat picks. All talk, so far, no proof that they’re 100% on board the train.
Plenty of history to be skeptical about, on both.
Kennedy’s position on most environmental issues is irrelevant tdo Health & Human Services department.
Nothing is as it seems. At least as it seems in the eneMedia.
RFKjr I expect to be confirmed and to decimate Big Pharma and Big Sugar.
Trump has brought him in for MAFA, not MAGA.
Once he became a Trump loyalist, everything changed. As it should.
MAHA
(oops, i meant MAHA, of course)
((MAFA is also a thing, Make America Free Again))
As long as they keep a narrow focus on the job at hand and not wander off the reservation into other political matters not in their purview.
Either way it’s a win for Trump. Democrats eating their own with GOP help. Perhaps a recess appointment for one year would work best as Kennedy will make enemies on both sides to the benefit of guess who?
His dad worked for Joseph McCarthy and had issues with J. Edgar.
It is time to realize the NY Post is no more credible than the NY Times or the Washington Post. It is a deep state mouthpiece that occasionally throws us a bone to fool us into thinking “they are on our side”
As long as RFK Jr is limited to his health portfolio, I’m fine with it. He’ll focus on health through nutrition and not pills and he might actually be very good at producing policies that actually help Americans stay healthy and not spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on pills to regain the health they lost.
Right! He’s not the EPA nominee!
I do wonder though, if Trump nominated RFK Jr, to keep his promise to him, knowing he would be rejected by the Senate?
That’s how I interpreted your reply!
Ditto here.
Since Hegseth went through the Dems will really make it tough on Kennedy, jumps party and they need a scalp at any cost.
Me too.
There’s almost zero chance Kennedy won’t be confirmed. MAHA.
With RFK Jr. as a potential cabinet member, I see that the poison in our food supply, and the safety of vaccines has been brought to the public’s attention. I realize RFK Jr. is a bit out there, and I don’t trust him completely, but I hope that Trump can keep him reigned in because bringing these issues out is important.
It’s politics. Anything is possible.
Trump does understand how to think in parallelisms, with an explicit intent to do something but with an eye on another goal.
