China on Monday (Jan 20) executed a man who killed 35 people in a car rampage in the southern city of Zhuhai in November, in the country's deadliest mass attack in years. On Nov 11, Fan Weiqiu, 62, deliberately drove a small SUV through crowds of people exercising outside a sports complex, also injuring 45 in China's worst such crime since 2014.
He was sentenced to death last month, with a court saying his motives "were extremely vile, (and) the nature of the crime extremely egregious". State broadcaster CCTV said on Monday a Zhuhai court "executed Fan Weiqiu in accordance with the execution order issued by the Supreme People's Court".
The municipal public prosecutor "sent personnel to supervise (the execution) in accordance with the law", CCTV reported.

Assuming it is the guy who actually did it.
Imagine how much worse it could have been if he had a gun /s
Guy executed in less than 30 days after committing murder.
That’s what we need here for criminals namely the Dem and RINO politicians.
Biden didn’t give him a pardon, wow!
Isn’t that the normal amount of deaths for the average Chinese driver ?
This is outrageous! Everyone knows it takes decades of investigation while the taxpayer foots the bill for the killer’s every need to be just! /s
I wonder what is the method they use.
He tried to kill himself with a knife and fell into a coma. He was revived. How did China execute him? Organ harvesting.
November 11 crime. January 20 execution. Perhaps there is a link between that and the rare violent crime rate in China?
CAN’T!!!
Biden already pardoned him!
If he was,in fact, guilty (you just never know with Chinese police/courts) I have no problem with that. But I *am* amazed by how quick it was.
Have you ever been to China? I have.I even had a brief encounter with the police while there.I wasn’t arrested or anything but it was a very unsettling experience nevertheless. I wouldn’t trust a Chinese cop or a Chinese judge (no juries in China) as far as I could throw him.
New York would give him commuinity service.
One round to the back of the head.
“Exercising”, huh?
Look, I walk right past a group of 20 or so septuagenarians doing Tai Chi on my way to work, and unless I’m distracted, I go all Bruce Lee on whomever I can reach, I mean, they’re just asking for it.
“One round to the back of the head.”
Very efficient.
They are marched by two guards, each one with a firm grip on the prisoner’s arm, to a tall dirt berm. The two guards, still maintaining their grip, extend their arms as to distance themselves from the prisoner. And the same time they exert pressure on the arms to get the prisoner to lean forward. A third guard then shoots the prisoner in the back of the head.
I watched a Chinese documentary on the execution of a female drug dealer. How they celebrated her last day with makeup, a good meal and friendly companions. Then several prisoners were marched as I described above for mass executions.
I doubt if this mass murderer got the celebration part.
A few decades back a Readers Digest article described a Chinese execution. The prisoner was in court, the judge read the verdict and sentence. A second after the reading of the sentence a guard shot the prisoner in the back of the head right in the court room. Now that’s swift justice!
The Mao regime used to charge the relatives for the cost of the bullet.
