Comedian Dave Chappelle called for President-elect Trump to “do better” in his second term and praised former President Jimmy Carter during his “Saturday Night Live” monologue.
In his opening monologue, Chappelle braced the country for the second Trump term. He called on the president-elect to be a better politician than his first term because the world was counting on him.
“To Donald Trump, I know you watch the show,” Chappelle said. “Remember, whether people voted for you or not, they’re all counting on you. Whether they like you or not, they’re all counting on you. The whole world is counting on you.”
“I mean this when I say this, good luck,” he continued. “Please do better next time.”

Does anything matter to these celebrities except a “D” after their name?
The Democrat Party created four years of chaos — out of spite when Hillary lost. But somehow get’s away with claiming it was PDJT’s fault.
It’s a shame what progressivism does to otherwise bright, talented people.
Carter was a horrible president. I lived through it.
Delusional
You had to live through Carter as an adult to know how bad it got and how long it took the Reagan administration to straighten it out. Fortunately, America stuck with Reagan for 8 years. His reelection was the largest landslide ever, he won 49 states and all but 3 electoral votes!
You know you’re old if you can remember when Saturday Night Live used to be funny.

A good example of a backhanded compliment.
backhanded compliment (noun): An insult disguised as a compliment.
Just what does Dave think President Trump can do that will be better than his first term and acceptable by the Left?
Answer: Turn into Bill Ayers and Sotero? Ergo, we
will be subjected to Maxine Waters mumbling on the day of the inauguration -
"Imbeach Porty-Seben, Imbeach Porty-Seben."
It’s a matter of factual evidence. See Daniel Greenfield article.
Ok see if I can pull it up
When celebrities don’t do even cursory research then go out and speak about public affairs they know nothing about, they look like idiots because they are idiots
I don’t care if this guy did get in trouble with the left and is trying to climb out of it. That only makes it worse
Do they not realize that Trump could possibly care any less what these uninformed people with a mic (for comedy not for national and international issues) have to say
“ Comedian Dave Chappelle called for…”
What? Called for what? More cowbell? A glass of water?
He’s a comedian.
Ge thinks he has an inaugural message? A mandate? He is commenting on Carter infernal meddler in Middle East affairs? Without looking into any facts?
What a moronic rant
Yes I also lived through Carter and jobs were hard to find. If you found a job for 5 bucks an hour you held on to it. I voted for President Reagan back then along with my family.
Trump did better his first term than either Bronco or Brandon did in theirs.
Chappelle should read a few obits if he’s going to speak about the recently passed heads of state. From all sides
Daniel Greenfield is at the top of the most knowledgeable on People heavily involved in the Middle East. Carter is at the top of the list of presidents most involved in affairs of the Middle East.
Hard to believe a smart guy like Chappelle is still on the plantation.
Oh, OK you third rate comic has-been. President Trump and his policies will try not to burn down your friends’ uninsured homes in Hollywood.
Mr Chappelle is out of his field here. Many comedians take the time to inform themselves. There is no humor in ignorance. Good comedians know that the truth is what is funny
Chappelle could have taken a look at what Carter really was, not people’s opinions
Here is how the thoughtful, informed, independent Daniel Greenfield opens his informative take on Carter;
From 1 Jan, 2025:
“On his way out the door, the media continues to insist that Biden is a good man. And that Carter, despite presiding over one of the worst administrations in history, was a good man.
Biden and Carter had many things in common, record unpopularity, crooked brothers, and empowering Islamic terrorists, but decency was never one of them.
Joe Biden was not a good man. Neither was Jimmy Carter.”
“You know you’re old if you can remember when Saturday Night Live used to be funny.”
Coincidentally, that was during the aforementioned Carter administration.

Keep in mind Chappelle is a Muslim.
