LA Fire chief is the first female LBGT and her top concern is DEI.
It’s all self inflicted by non-serious people.

The fire departments and other public safety units in these suburbs are cash cows for many employees in some areas. The control is often in small boards which are taken over by insiders and some of them turn it into a gold mine for salaries, overtime games and monster retirement benefits.

Its not stupidity — its greed. More houses = more $$$ for the developer. Narrower streets means more streets which means more houses which means more money.
The developer greed is understandable — and so is the greed from whichever official(s) permitted it — although, more houses = more property taxes, so bribery or other skullduggery might not have even been needed.
The people that have expended the essence of their existence to even have a home in that part of the world don’t deserve your judgement or laughter.
The developers and local officials certainly deserve your contempt and more for the greed.

This has NOTHING TO DO with incompetence and until our side figures that out, we’ll keep having to deal with this crap.
This is BY DESIGN - the people lower down, in the Fire Department and other places are perfectly competent - plus there’s no shortage of money. It is the LEFTISTS who simply DO NOT LIKE the big houses overlooking their ghettos in Los Angeles. Now they’re in the process of taking them out and thus allowing the government to take control of the land and do as they please (as someone here noted earlier, think Hawaii fires).
And guess who feeds that greed.
They purchase the places dont they now?
But, your correct to a point. They build em, and make a lot of money, give the local city officials their “taste” to get zoning changed, and the STUPID people purchase these places.

As more and more of Silicon Valley moves its offices and workplace to low tax Texas, California will become more and more of a third world country. It relies now on the enormous taxes paid by billionaires.
