Trump Repeats Warning to Hamas: ‘Gates of Hell’ if Hostages not Free by Jan. 20

Donald Trump repeated his warning to Hamas: the “gates of hell” will open if they do not free the hostages they are still holding by his Inauguration on January 20, the President-elect told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Monday.

The Iran-backed Palestinian terrorist group took roughly 250 hostages from Israel during the October 7, 2023 terror attack. Over 100 — mostly women and children — were freed during a truce in November 2023, which Hamas broke.

Further negotiations, overseen by the Biden-Harris administration, have gone nowhere. Secretary of State Antony Blinken admitted recently that pressure on Israel had encouraged Hamas to pull back from potential hostage deals.

Trump wrote in early December that there would be “ALL HELL TO PAY” if Hamas did not free the hostages. He repeated that warning on New Year’s Eve at Mar-a-Lago, and again on Monday. He said that his warning, unlike President Biden’s infamous “don’t” to Iran and Hezbollah in October 2023, would actually be followed through:

About the only things Trump can do that the Israelis haven’t is to cut off the money flows:

No NATO member (and hence no EU) money, no remittances from the USA, and money to HAMAS Qutar people cut.

I’m not sure if Trump can cut off US Muslim money to Palestinian ‘refugee’ charities.

When Trump 'defeated' ISIS in Iraq, we were still engaged in fighting in that country, which meant that he didn't have to enter the country to initiate new fighting. With Hamas, Trump would be starting a new war-front for Americans in a country in which American didn't already have a presence.

Not very bright, are you? My two brain cells say that I have infinitely more brain power than you, with no brain cells at all.

Hamas will not give up the hostages, whether American or others. Not unless they get something in return. It might be as simple as allowing them safe passage out of Gaza. Trump prides himself as being a president who didn't stat any wars during his first term. With Hamas, he would have to send U.S. troops to get the hostages out and at the same time try to eliminate Hamas. That would be a new war for the U.S. The best that can and should be done, is to allow Israel to go in full-force with the support of American troops and equipment to try to get the hostages back. That could come at a huge price in military personnel lost and even the loss of the hostages. The best that can be done is to starve Hamas by not allowing them to get their hands on weapons and ammunition and food.

I want the hostages back. But at what price? You think that all-out war against terror groups should be the answer? The best answer of all is to take Gaza with Israel in control with U.S. support. Heck, take over the whole middle-eat and the radical Muslim terrorist problem will be gone for good.

Bottom line is that Hamas and Hezbollah and Iran, will not go quietly. After all, terrorism is about exacting the most damage and kills as possible in every situation.

Your turn for a solution that brings back the hostages without starting a big war.

Eliminating vermin doesn’t require war. It just requires exterminating them. Just because you think war is the only answer doesn’t mean it is.
