New AI cameras which can tell if a driver is DRUNK are rolled out on UK roads – find out if they’re popping up near you

NEW AI cameras that can catch drunk drivers in the act have been rolled out, with footage revealing the exact moment they were installed.

The state-of-the-art tech, developed by Acusensus, works by scanning passing cars for tell tale signs of impaired driving.

...The AI doesn’t just hand out instant penalties. Instead, it mimics the instincts of experienced officers, flagging behaviour that raises red flags.

Police then pull the vehicle over for further checks, which could include on-the-spot drug and alcohol tests.

Geoff Collins, Acusensus’ UK boss, said the cameras are designed to save lives.

“tell tale signs of impaired driving.”

Better put that phone down. No texting while driving. No fumbling to find new music in Spotify. Neo trying to find a phone number in your Contacts app.

Panopticon UK where everyone is watched and nobody is free.

panopticon, architectural form for a prison, the drawings for which were published by Jeremy Bentham in 1791. It consisted of a circular, glass-roofed, tanklike structure with cells along the external wall facing toward a central rotunda; guards stationed in the rotunda could keep all the inmates in the surrounding cells under constant surveillance. Although Bentham's novel idea was not fully adopted in the plans for penal institutions built at that time, its radial plan was immediately influential, and its design clearly had an impact on later construction. For example, the Stateville Correctional Center, a prison near Joliet, Ill., U.S., incorporates essential features of the panopticon.

I remember when the original speed cameras first stirred to life - and the Brits devised many effective ways to destroy the hated things.

A better, vanished time.

Why would they do that. It’s you that are the threat to the TPTB not pedophiles who share their predatory goals.

The AI will soon be found to be racist, as it pulls over minorities more.

Not joking.

I trained as a cop briefly before deciding it was not for me. Admittedly this was West Texas, but 99% of the drunks were Hispanic.

This sounds great! An AI camera than can determine a person’s blood alcohol content.

Think of the benefits, not only will it make streets safer, but save a person from that awful needle prick come annual checkup time. Just go through your clinic’s drive trough lane, get your picture taken, and your whole blood screen lab work is done instantly! /s/

Seriously, this is utter BS. It would never stand up in a US court, that is a legitimate court such as those found in red states.

It won’t last long. It will catch too many blacks and “asians” (as the brits call them and they’ll go poof.
