Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on Fox News' Sunday Morning Futures, MTG talked about the goals of her new subcommittee, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which will operate under the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability. DOGE, which will be led by billionaire Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, aims to cut government spending under the incoming administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has stated that her new subcommittee addressing government efficiency will look at defunding National Public Radio and applying budget cuts to sanctuary states.

NPR is not a major news outlet. It is a tax payer subsidized propaganda instrument of the Left.
It should be among the first waves of government spending cuts.
The FCC needs to revoke the television licenses of all local public television stations.
They are leftist propaganda organs and do not serve the public interest.
When the stations no longer exist that eliminates one piece of the problem.
You are correct. NPR is a taxpayer funded in-kind contribution to Democrats.
National Public Radio (NPR) is low hanging fruit. It should have been defunded decades ago.
Yes, I thought it extremely odd that the headline talked about a major news outlet, but the article never mentioned one.
I had a liberal friend who drove a Volvo. I asked him if his car radio could tune in anything other than NPR. The look on his face was priceless.
NPR definitely should be defunded AND renamed. Also, the sweetheart deal to spew CNN throughout US airports and military bases should be rescinded.
Let me know when it is gone.

Why yes, there is no reason for the US Government to fund media. It should of been ended in 1995 but the GOP-E is too gutless to taken any real action.
Now, if only the Republican reps and senators can be convinced to defund them. They are not going to do this without a lot of encouragement and demands from their constituents.
That is why the FCC needs to act first and go after those TV licenses.
We need to flood the zone in multiple directions—knowing that some plans will be more successful than others.

oh no
they are going to cancel big bird
I am very concerned about Republican resistance to this long over due cost cutting. I don’t trust the GOP backstabbers one bit, however on the positive side Elon and Vivek are going to flood them with data on massive waste that will be politically difficult for them to oppose, so we’ll see.
Start with despicable NPR
I won’t click on link, don’t want to give MSM the views.
Does the writer even mention the NPR prez giving a speech saying truth and the 1st A are the biggest obstacles to NPR?
NPR is a “major news outlet”?
I would expect push-back on many fronts.
We have to use all tools in the toolkits.
The Democrats have made the Executive Branch incredibly powerful—we can use that to our advantage:
—IRS eliminates tax exemptions for leftist non-profits
—FCC eliminates licenses for leftist propaganda outlets (and yes we can look at network local stations as well)
—Discretionary grant/loan programs that go to specific non-profits—there are a ton of those—none to leftist organizations
...and there are probably hundreds of other examples that do not need legislative approval to get done.
All of the above is the best approach.
Sponsor tons of legislation while simultaneously using every single tool in the executive toolkit.
The leftists currently control every major US institution—and most minor ones.
We need to break that apart—piece by piece by piece.
We are surrounded on all sides—makes hitting some targets kinda easy....
