Fearing Trump Compliance Demand – Mexico Quickly Looking for Alternatives to Chinese Parts and Components
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | November 23, 2024 | Sundance

Boy howdy, this article by The Associated Press is very telling.

First, it’s worth remembering that in the fine print of the USMCA deal, Mexico and Canada must comply with North American parts origination for anything they want to manufacture for sale into the United States. Meaning, all trade manufacturers must either create their component parts domestically, or purchase them from the U.S, Mexico and Canada. It’s the core point of the USMCA trade agreement.

Secondly, in an aspect exclusive to the U.S. part of the deal that President Trump and USTR Lighthizer insisted upon, if either Canada or Mexico are deemed to be non-compliant with the agreement, the USA can cancel/override any trade agreement Mexico or Canada have with another nation. It’s a heavy accountability hammer securing the gate into the massive USA market.

In an AP report today, Mexico is scrambling to find local or North American sources of parts and components, because President Trump is set to come into office and look at USMCA compliance. Apparently, Mexico has been using excessive amounts of Chinese component parts for goods being sent into the USA and Canada. Now they are quickly trying to source alternatives.

Mexico being in China’s pocket....no surprise. So is Joe Biden. Not sure that agreement meant much to him or his partners in crime, both domestic and foreign. Things are going to get mighty interesting, and that goes for Canada, too.

Hard to keep from smiling lately, isn’t it.

Go, Trump.

I want to see Trump put Mexico over his knee and spank their ass every month of his presidency for what they have been pulling on us for the last four years

Wait! Biden wasn’t enforcing the terms of an international trade agreement? I’m shocked! Shocked, I say!

China’s gonna take a bath over their “investments” in Central and South America.

Mexico is also looking down the barrel of 5-10 million Mexican illegals being “repatriated”.

Mexico gets back the mouths to support and loses whatever extra $ they’d been sending back home.

We did that once over a century ago. The US Army invaded Mexico, took over the capital of Mexico, took a look around, and gave the crappy part back. And we paid for the California and other western states part.

Now what other nation does that? Conquers, pays for part, and dumps the rest of the conquered nation? We are not about to take over Mexico, it's a dump.

Mexico is dangerous to our country. It needs to be taken over and subdued.

It is in process of making foreign alliances. So is Canada. The US needs to be the continental power

Rebuilt alternator

Used one gets shipped from a parts store to Mexico for a rebuild that takes 15 minutes and uses $10 in parts from China. Then it gets shipped back to a parts store in the US.

Make it make sense.

No. We tried that against Cuba with the 1961 Bay of Pigs fiasco by President Kennedy. Improper planning, and Kennedy withheld air support which led to our defeat. This pushed Cuba closer into Russia's orbit, with Russia placing nukes in Cuba and almost started WWIII.

You want WWIII, this is how you get WWIII. The way to fight Mexico is via financial means, and that is the way President Trump will subdue Mexico without firing a shot.

As for Canada, they are nothing. Most of their populace lives along the USA border and they are heavily reliant on the USA. Corral them via financial means.
