Mayor Eric Adams is ending his administration’s controversial program supplying migrants in city shelters with prepaid debit cards

The program should never have been started in the first place. It's much harder to end a government give-away than it is to simply never implement it.

This could prove to be a big deal. Ending debit cards, closing hotel shelters, returning NY to the citizens of NY.

This is where we are going to see much strife for a while as this starts to unwind.

No one ever thought it would be easy. Could see all these illegals in DC on inauguration day.

The whole ebt card should go away back to food stamps. Being on the dole needs to be more public and have some stigma and shame associated with it. Most of us have to work to keep money being deposited in an account connected to the debit card.

However, NYC voters will STILL have to pony up to fulfill THEIR obligation to PAY for their DEBT card their rulers have played.
