Former President Trump taunted Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., during a rally in Kinston, North Carolina, on Sunday, calling him a "disgrace," despite receiving his endorsement for president in 2024.
"Hopefully we get rid of Mitch McConnell pretty soon ‘cause he helped them, that guy," he said, claiming the Kentucky Republican assisted President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ administration.
McConnell, the longest-serving party leader in Senate history, notably announced in February that he would not seek the role of leader again after the 2024 elections.
"Can you believe he endorsed me?" Trump asked the crowd Sunday. "Boy, that must have been a painful day in his life."

I believe history will show much of Trump's troubles, especially in 2017-18, were caused by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.
I taunt you, you silly Kentucky man!
A perfect example is the Republican bill to repeal Obama Care that had virtually 100% Republican support in both the House And Senate.
They passed it because of optics because they knew Obama would veto the bill.
Donald Trump was elected and became President about six months after Obama vetoed. it.
Trump promised to sign the bill as soon as the Republicans in the House and Senate passed the bill.
I hope some people hang for treason....oops, not suppose to say that until Trump is actually back at the resolute desk...my bad.
I am uncomfortable with this over confidence of the day...still, couldn’t resist.😬
Wasn’t it Mitch McConnell that got booed at a Trump rally. I don’t think his endorsement was worth a whole lot.
Remember that time McConnell recessed the Senate so that Trump could get all his nominee’s working that were being stonewalled? You don’t? That is because he didn’t.
Trump is always and everywhere willing to punch the deep state in the face
I’ll always respect him for that.
If Trump loses, McConnell will be one of the reasons why.
I agree with him but why could he not have waited until after tomorrow to say this? All he is doing is costing himself RINO votes. Absolutely no benefit.
McConnell’s legacy is unsustainable debt.
Both sought to harm Trump, not good.
Anybody with a single brain cell and has watched McConnell over the years, knows McConnell’s words may endorse Trump, but McConnell really does not. He is gaming for a potential second Trump presidency. He is a liar and corrupt to the core.
Trump has admitted that when he got to DC in January 2017, he didn't have the life-long political connections needed to run the bloated, politicized and nasty DC Fed.gov bureaucracy.
As leader of the Senate, McConnell controlled the appointee nomination process, so he very much used that against Trump
McConnell insisted on the squish and traitor JEFF SESSIONS as Attorney General, who then immediately recused himself on "all things Russia" which allowed woke, deep-state scum in the DOJ to take over the process and give us nearly 3 years of "Russia-gate."
Trump now has non-traditional Republicans around him, like Elon, RFK Jr, and Tulsi.
The RINOs are dead!
mcconnel is still hurting the country today by withholding sen campaign funds from viable candidates again in 2024
cruz & scott for sure
prolly sam brown, lake, mccormick, merino, too
turdle needs to go, but beware thune & cronyn stepping in to take his place
PS: turdle got about as much dirty money from SBF’s FTX ukranine crypto fraudulent money laundery as any uniparty lackie
Trump owes his last Supreme Court justice to McConnell.
I’m a HUGE Trump fan, but I have to admit, I find it unhelpful for him to make remarks like this, esp at this time. Sure, it plays to the red meat conservatives, but Trump already has their votes. He should be playing to the squishy Republicans and the Independents. This doesn’t help that.
Exactly. Why this? This is undisciplined and could be and unforced error down the road.
“turdle needs to go, but beware thune & cronyn stepping in to take his place”

Josh Hawley, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, or John Kennedy, please, at least over Thune and Cronyn
