Former President Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris in Iowa by more than 10 percent, according to a recent poll.

An Emerson College poll conducted between November 1-2, 2024, which surveyed 800 likely voters in Iowa, found that 53 percent of respondents expressed support for Trump, while 43 percent of respondents expressed support for Harris.

You need a baseline for comparison of apples and apples.

That is why number crunching is so important.

Early voting are actual votes cast—by all people, whoever they may be.

They should be a Trump blowout.

If you want to dig deeper into those numbers you can do so.

Do you have numbers from 2020 from this polling outfit for these states?

But probably not enough to overcome the D’s ETM (Election Theft Machine)

It will all boil down to whether the ETM is allowed to operate in those states or not ,

The local push has been to talk up abortion, tariffs, and anti school choice.

I am seeing a lot less Trump signs and a lot more Harris signs.

Iowa early voting:

https://election.lab.ufl.edu/early-vote/2024-early-voting/2024-general-election-early-vote-iowa/

These are all mail in votes.

They should be more than two to one Democrat for the race to be even close.

They are even in Iowa.

Harris is doomed there.

Cold equations.

Hope you are right. Really do.

I know many more GOP people are early voting. I disagree with that as I have real doubts those votes will get treated correctly, but it is what it is.

2020 I didn’t see a Biden sign. 24, I see VERY few Trump signs. More down ticket Dem signs also. Miller Meeks barely won last time, and I think she will lose this one to the nutter from Iowa City.

Lets see what the Iowa early vote was in 2020 for comparison:

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/IA.html

The Democrats led early voting that year by 12%.

This year they are even.

That is kinda a clue that Harris will do significantly worse this year than 2020 in Iowa.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_Iowa

In 2020 President Trump won Iowa +8.

Btw check out the polls in 2020 for Iowa on that Wikipedia page.

Most had it too close to call.

The polls all were wildly off—all in favor of Democrats.

C’mon—fool you once, ok—but fool you twice?

BTW, Selzer polling didn’t even make the list of 27 pollsters. Emerson was in the top ten at #8

Thanks.

There is a lot going on—and it can seem very confusing to folks who are not neck deep in all the numbers.

According to poll, Trump’s man advantage# > Harris’ woman advantages in battle ground states. If that’s true, it will be a matter or those states’ ability to make men vote

Every time I see your posts I visualize you as that Debbie Downer character on SNL. I hope you are really an optimistic person except for politics.

What say ye regarding Iowa?

BTW I was fortunate enough to early vote on Saturday.

This past week no less than about 14+ Democrat propaganda pieces arrived in the mail.

Not only did I vote for the best recent President, Donald Trump, I was actually giggling out loud (sorry Kamala) when I saw the names the Democrats hated / pushed.

I voted against them and I was snickering out loud. I'm sure the other folks wondered what I was doing.

Yeah, got a paper ballot, filled it out, the lady took me to the scanner - it was in and recorded first shot.

Just under 3 hours in line before I got called in the the election judge(?) with my I.D. and I brought the card the county sent in the mail - checked my work 3X and submitted.

Woohoo!!! It was SO FUN to vote AGAINST what the Democrats sent in the mail. I was happy to waste their effort.

And on Abortion, I was happy to disappoint them AGAIN.

Dress warmly, don't drink too much fluid(s), cap / gloves - plan on 4-6 hours on Tuesday. If you can get in earlier, I'd recommended it.

I'd been hearing 4-6 hours in my area; so I was pretty happy to get it done - in line at 7:30 a.m. almost back to the car by 10:36 a.m.

McDonald's sausage biscuit, hash browns, large Coke. I heard this one guy did a shift there recently.

Now, somebody else.....???

I voted FOR the guy that the Democrats hated - (lower politician)

and I voted AGAINST the guy the Democrats were pushing (lower politician as well)

just to be clear.......

Wow! 3 hours? Good on y’all!

I early voted last Tuesday in mid-afternoon (around 2:00.) There was a line, but it was only about a 20 minute wait. I’d have waited as long as I needed to, though.

I had my voter registration card, but they also wanted to see a government issued photo ID. I gave ‘em my drivers license. They asked me to state my address. I’ve never had to do all of that before, but I had no problem with that whatsoever.

We also had the paper ballots where we colored in squares with a pen. I hadn’t seen one of those in a long time. Mine went through the scanner just fine and the green check mark and flag came up on the screen.

One of the volunteers there said he’s been doing that for years and had never seen crowds like he’s been seeing this year.

Excellent - my neighbor drove and bought McDonald’s for us

He wanted to go at 7 - I had maybe 3 hours 15 minutes of sleep but set 2 phones for 6:20 - by 6:51 I was outside ready to go. We were in line by 7:30 maybe 7:40ish.

He was starting to get discouraged - they didn’t open until 8:30 - I said stick with it - it will be FAR worse on Tuesday

Can’t believe I could stand for 3 hours but I did - they finally opened it a bit earlier at 8 - line started moving

We got ‘er done. Now I can go back to working on my REAL I.D. DL since I have a state I.D. with REAL I.D. - and the state doesn’t like that you have 2 - go figure

Dumb dumb dumb

There were horror stories of 6 hours in my area - I expect Tuesday to be 4-6 hours. The school I was supposed to go to has very little parking. It will be a disaster, I predict.

4-lane road I expect to be down to 2 lanes with cops directing traffic.
