White House Report Card: Biden’s checked out, Harris in panic
Washington Examiner ^ | 26 Oct 2024 | Paul Bedard

This week’s White House Report Card is the second-to-last until the presidential election and you can feel the tension in the air.

President Joe Biden, who played the main role in making Vice President Kamala Harris the Democratic nominee, is AWOL in helping her win. Not much happened in his office this week other than a notable flub while giving a speech that included an apology to Native Americans for the country’s scandalous treatment of young schoolchildren.

The election fight between Harris and former President Donald Trump remains even closer than the week before, with several new polls showing a dead heat. There is a sense that Trump has momentum, but pollster John Zogby warned not to bank on that.

For his part, Zogby graded the week a “C” and asked of Harris, “Does she really have momentum?”

Conservative analyst Jed Babbin graded his regular “F” and highlighted Biden’s disappearance.

Harris really does have momentum…a boatload of it in the wrong direction for her.

Because of early voting, the concept of momentum is undercut.

The election is already over for a great many voters. This also introduces a new configuration for pollsters.

When they ask who someone will vote for they have to append the added phrase or that you’ve already voted for. This is not straightforward. People have checked out. They don’t want to think about it anymore. It probably increases the non-response that all surveys face.

But without question early voting erases the concept of momentum at this point.

Yes and is a Pale/Hamas Murder Pirate spooge. He hasn’t been right on a poll since the early 2000s.

And another thing: As has been discussed, Kamala Harris has studiously avoided using the word “Nazi” when describing Trump. Does anyone know why?

Hint: NAZI The National Socialist Party. Officially, the National Socialist German Workers’Party

INTERVIEWER CHALLENGED HIM OVER HARRIS’ POSITIONS-—AND HIS GREASY SELF SLID ALL AROUND A DECENT ANSWER.

COLORADO NEEDS SOMETHING DIFFERENT & MUCH BETTER

This race is over.

I would advise not to get complacent though, we still need to cross the finish line.

Keep up the fight, fight, fight. They're on the ropes, time to put them on the canvas.

Early voting makes polling obsolete once substantial early voting has happened.

The real numbers are at our fingertips—with a little bit of number crunching we can do the work the mass media refuses to do:

You know I have been thinking a lot about this. I am an Election Day traditionalist like most conservatives. But I banked my vote yesterday. But for everyone wondering about an October surprise my thought is that it is simply too late. We see the surge of exurban and rural counties. Turn out in these areas was what got Trump in for 2016. It goes for me back to the silent majority. I am the opinion that the voting has quietly already happened and this is why the democrats are panicked. No more talk of bad weather on Election Day. No more that we a losing. And as early voting wears on it will trail off on numbers. The broken glass voters have already voted. So an October surprise even if someone got squishy the vote cannot be changed. I actually think that the writing on the wall and the starting of the finger pointing with some judicious leaks are setting the story for the already won election of Donald J Trump the 47th President of the US and second twice elected noncontinuous presidency of two terms

I wonder if the political situation was the same for Grover Cleveland. It would be interesting to study the similarities. Who would have thought it? But I do think it’s over and with the scrutiny on fraud I think Trump is ready to fight it.

November 5 will be a good day.

I HATE the idea of voting before Election Day, but I voted early as well. If that’s the game, that’s the game. I think the MAGA electorate has awoken to the strategy, and many have already voted. My very large gut feels like Trump will win this going away; that it’s nowhere near as close as the pollsters tell us. We’ll see, I guess.
