Less than 48 hours before arrival in North Carolina and just over two weeks until Election Day, Donald Trump has become the first to clear the margin of error leading a presidential poll in the battleground state.
Trump leads Kamala Harris 51%-46% in the latest poll from Rasmussen Reports and American Thinker. The margin of error is +/- 3% with a 95% level of confidence in the sampling of 1,042 likely voters taken Oct. 9 through Monday.
Trump is slated for a visit to the East Carolina University campus in Greenville on Monday afternoon, where he’ll speak from Minges Coliseum. Pitt County was a 53.96%-44.51% win for the challenger Biden against the incumbent Republican in 2020, taking more than 47,000 of 87,573 votes.
Pitt was one of 10 counties, and the southern-most sans one, east of Interstate 95 he captured. The Maine to Florida connector is recognized as a bit of a divider for the state, with more populous areas toward the western two-thirds and plenty of rural socioeconomic challenges from it to the Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile, Helene's survivors are taking time out from searching for the dead to line up in droves to vote for Trump.
Did you know that while families are living in tents, FEMA is building a 700 bed complex for housing their employees in the hardest hit areas? Yet story after story is coming out about how little FEMA is actually doing for the victims. Searches for the missing are being done by private groups. Roads and bridges are being repaired by "toxic" males using their own equipment. The people feel abandoned by their own government to whom they pay taxes. Every American voter should be outraged.
I believe NC is a solid Trump win. It just has to be enough to overcome the fraud and cheating.
UK Labour Party Paying Staffers to Campaign for Kamala Harris
The British are coming!
Again.
If Trump is really leading by 5 percent in NC, why would he visit there? He is up by perhaps two percent but we cannot be complacent.
Good news. The MSM polls have Harris up by 1.
“Building a 700 bed complex for housing their employees in the hardest hit areas”. <THIS infuriates me! It’s been almost a month since WNC was hit with a triple whammy. Not only the hurricane, but also floods and mudslides. People are living in camping tents, under tarps for shelter....temps are dropping....some areas have seen snow. American citizens in areas that are still cut off and have not been reached by anybody. One area was told it will be March or April before they get power back. And FEMA is gonna take care of themselves before doing this for the victims? Gee, and here I was angry after seeing the Tent City [VERY nice set up] they built for illegals in NYC.
CFW...thanks for getting my BP extra high first thing this morning. I hope and pray it’s true President Trump has taken a lead in NC. The dismal response from our federal government for this Biblical disaster should be first and foremost on the minds of every NC voter as they head to the polls and it should go without saying that President Trump wins the state in a landslide! Pray our state has not been so infiltrated by liberals to not turn NC blue.
And kudos to the real Hero’s in this disaster that has hit WNC....the every day citizen who has stepped up and rendered more help and supplies to those suffering than our evil government! And please Pray for the victims and also the Hero’s doing God’s work.
the only polls remotely accurate are the parties’ internal polls.
Redcoats are back!
Like everybody else in the media (including TV pollsters), this writer misstates what MOE applies to. It applies to each result, not the gap between two candidates. Hence, his opening remark is in error.
TDS heads are going to explode. Be prepared for the crazies.
I live here. I’ve been telling everybody from the start that it will not be close. I love to go hiking with my dogs so I drive around the state a lot. Once you get outside of a few areas like Asheville, central Charlotte and Raleigh, you can’t find a Harris sign. Trump signs and flags are absolutely everywhere. As for Charlotte, once you get to the suburbs, there are a lot more Trump supporters than Harris.....and even in the majority Black areas like central Charlotte and Raleigh, Trump has made significant inroads.
There simply aren’t enough liberal Yankee transplants in Asheville and Charlotte and enough Blacks who are still stuck on the plantation to overcome everybody else.
I hope it’s true and I hope Trump carries Robinson with him.
Will the hard hit areas from the hurricane prevent so many GOP voters from casting their vote that Trump could lose NC?
There were not many Biden signs in 2020.
FEMA never has been directly involved in search & rescue or rebuilding bridges etc. that is not what they do. In a disaster like this they are basically coordinating state and local governments and working to get money to them for equipment, supplies and labor. FEMA does not hand out clothes, food and water, that is the responsibility of aid organizations like the Red Cross. FEMA are probably also acquiring and moving huge amounts of emergency housing into staging areas for issue to private citizens during the recovery. They also are setting up recovery centers were people can come to apply for loans and grants.
FEMA is far, far from perfect but blaming them for not doing what they never were supposed to do in the first place is not helpful either.
It infuriates me as well. And the national media’s attitude of “it’s just the peon’s who are affected by the damage so no need to be concerned” just adds to my outrage.
If the MOE is plus or minus 3%, technically speaking RPOTUS could be as low as 51%-3%=48% or as high as 54%, and the Cackler could be as high as 46%+3%=49% or as low as 43%.
Certainly this is encouraging news, but now it's time to GOTV!
Isn’t than foreign election interference? And from the guys who invented communism nonetheless.
It is indeed.
And not a peep out of the enemedia.
Go figure.
FEMA now employs over 20,000 people.
You don’t need over 20,000 people to sign a check or a requisition.
FEMA isn’t about disaster recovery.
It’s about padding the bureaucracy.
Will be erased at 2 in the morning
