The US Embassy in Beirut is calling on Americans to leave Lebanon as soon as possible as the war between Israel and Hezbollah intensifies.
“US citizens in Lebanon are strongly encouraged to depart now,” the embassy said in a notice to citizens on Monday. “US citizens who choose not to depart at this time should prepare contingency plans should the situation deteriorate further.”
Just 1,100 of the estimated 86,000 Americans who live in Lebanon have fled the nation so far, with the US setting aside thousands of seats on flights out of Lebanon since Sept. 27, according to the State Department.

I’m guessing a lot of dual-citizenship documents are getting buried VERY DEEP in the garden...

They will make up any shortfalls with hostages.
When Israel kindly notified the Americans and others in Lebanon to leave or be in danger of the new mission from the IDF the news said “some want to stay in Lebanon.”
So they will be the ones with people bringing lace hankies to their teary eyes. They had their chance.
it is going to take some time to eradicate the terrorist murder gangsters that have taken over Lebanon
the IDF is mostly holding back to enable all those wishing to get out of harm’s way to do so (any remaining good Christian Lebanese, any innocent other people too including foreign visitors especially Americans should get out of the path of hostilities)
as for Hexbollah running out of money, that is probably pretty much correct but money is fungible especially when USA and EUroNazi funds are being channeled to the terrorists via several channels including their Iranian commanders. But money is not needed to fire off hundreds of bombs and rockets already hidden on launchers in caves and basements of mosques, churches, schools, residences, and UnitedNazis buildings. Money is needed to buy new ones but not to shoot off and kill people with existing ones, alas.
That does it. I’m cancelling my plans to retire in Lebanon. And nobody can talk me out of it.
should the situation deteriorate further.
You kidding me ?
