Working-Class Voters in Philadelphia Realign with Republicans
Breitbart ^ | 10/02/2024 | Wendell Husebø

Working-class voters in the deep blue city of Philadelphia are showing dramatic signs of switching their support to former President Donald Trump’s Republican Party.

“Democrats keep saying [Trump] is going to bring down the economy, but he was already president for four years, and taxes were lower,” former Hillary Clinton supporter Gabriel Lopez told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday. “We’re tired of the same politics. We got a different type of guy, and the people actually love him.”

Lopez’s story appears to be indicative of many voters in Philadelphia, a city not immune to the ongoing political realignment. Democrats outnumber Republicans by 7-to-1.

They haven’t interviewed the tens of thousands of mysterious “mail in only” voters who suddenly appear every 4 years in Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee and Las Vegas

Well, seeing how bad things are in places like Philadelphia and New York City and elsewhere like that, people should be doing something like this.

A little potentially good news if it results in votes.

I grew up in Macomb County, Michigan, which was home of the Reagan Democrats. The working people came to their senses and voted for him.

Many years ago, the Philly area GOP establishment made an agreement to not try too hard registering voters or running good candidates in exchange for control of the parking authority patronage jobs.

Don’t know if that is still the arrangement, but it created a void in the city that made it harder to get GOP candidates elected in statewide races.

President Trump is going to do very well in Northeast Philly, and run better in the black areas also.

Trump represents the working class and the middle class. Heels Up Harris represents the elite, government paycheck recipients, welfare parasites, showbiz types, wetbacks and perverts.

I’m hoping president Trump wins this election by historical margins. People are done with the Biden and Harris disaster. It doesn’t matter where you live you can’t escape the damage they have done. We already knew how incompetent Biden and Harris would be. Now the people who decided to vote for the head of lettuce and Willie’s side piece are regretting that decision. I don’t think the media lies can erase people’s memories of Trump’s presidency. People remember how good it was before Biden and Harris came along and ruined everything that was good.

If those Philadelphians want to keep getting those swiss cheese and roast beef sandwiches, they better vote for Trump.

However, you said, "If those Philadelphians want to keep getting those swiss cheese and roast beef sandwiches..."

Having lived in Philly for decades, I assure you that Philadelphians who prefer swiss on their cheesesteaks are in a distinct minority, perhaps 2% at most. The rest argue between CheezWhiz and provolone.

I prefer Swiss however.

It is your right as a "free". American. But not to characterize "Philadelphians" as swiss-favorring. It is a real point of contention in Philly—what should go on the cheesesteak. Newspaper articles, tv spots and jokes are routinely made about it: Whiz or provolone.
