The devastation that Tropical Storm Helene inflicted on western North Carolina is still heartbreaking several days after the storm has passed. Countless North Carolinians are stranded in the mountains and valleys of that part of the state, many of them without medications or other things that they need to survive.
Towns and cities like Asheville are dealing with widespread damage and power outages. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park has several road and trail closures, even as U.S. 441, the main highway between Cherokee and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville, remains open and passable.

Lake Lure
Put a murder charge on that official for anyone who died as a result of his illegal order.
Elon Musk is getting Starlink available through Trump’s fundraising plus Ryan Hall Ya’ll and other weather-watching Youtube channels. Ryan Hall has also helped a Waffle House to open and they are delivering meals to rescue centers.
The Cajun Navy guys are mounting boat rescues. Private pilots are rescuing many of those still stranded (unless ego-filled fire captains threaten them with arrest—see video below.). Mule teams are getting supplies to people. Samaritan’s Purse has set up oxygen-providing tents for those who are on oxygen but have lost power. Private groups and individuals are busting butt to assist the people while government agencies are sitting on their thumbs trying to come up with a plan to rescue victims based on a DEI scale.

While all the above and even more groups are doing what needs to be done, government personnel are telling rescuers not to come into the area and telling people not to donate unless through them.
For some reason the government wants continuing chaos and more deaths in the weather-stricken disaster areas. I believe it is so that in about 2 weeks, they can move 3 or 4 states into mail-in ballots only. GA and NC are swing states that lean towards Trump. Mail-in ballot fraud will erase Trump’s advantage.
When they say, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Two weeks later. Some guy with a helicopter and ID, isn’t there to loot. I’m prepped to survive. You cannot rely on government to help you.

Thank God though for HEB Grocery and their Laity Lodge charity. Their trucks and mobile kitchen were better than knights on white horses!
Before HEB it was hard working locals and donations that fed and cared for hundreds of fire fighters 24/7 for most of 5 days with solid heart felt Texas hospitality and gratefulness to the people trying to save their community.
On the other hand I have absolutely no use at all for red cross. None at all. They are like wartime profiteers and will not move a muscle without federal money passing their palms.

This is why it behooves each of us to be as prepared as we can.
And considering how volatile this election season is and the fact that winter is coming, the longshorement are on strike, and the devastation from Helene, things could get pretty tight.
And Oct has just started. There’s still lots of time for other stuff to happen.
There's a time for civil disobedience.
And more than the helicopter pilots need to rise up.
Lots of protocol and nothing is getting done. This is the bureaucracy in charge.

Many of these folks just barely got out of the flood waters with the clothes on their backs, .. and have lost everything else

See my post 38; they are officially doubling down and letting their citizens die. The phone operator at their town hall sounded very annoyed at having to answer this question again and referred me to their website.
I suggest following the second link I posted and exercising the right of free speech in calling the numbers they voluntarily posted.
