Biden-Harris' Katrina Moment Is Here
Townhall.com ^ | 1 October A.D. 2024 | Matt Vespa

Regarding natural disasters, the Biden-Harris duo is one for the record books in either incompetence or gross indifference. Whenever disaster strikes, you can always count on these two not to be with it regarding some response. With Hurricane Helene, the Biden administration’s ‘Katrina’ moment has arrived, and what an ugly picture it is.

Like incompetents that they are, this administration is committing fouls that an actual media establishment would have excoriated them for, and rightfully so. Alas, Biden-Harris find themselves engulfed in an oasis of calm because they know the press won’t attack them, even if they are doing nothing to help the flood-ravaged residents of North Carolina, Tennessee, and elsewhere, many of which won’t have access to water or electricity for weeks. Donald Trump is on the ground, whereas Biden is taking naps, and Kamala is doing fake photo ops with FEMA officials.

It was bad enough that they staged this photo, showing a blank sheet of paper and headphones not plugged into her phone to show she can rise to the occasion. She can’t—we all know it. Biden made some phone calls and then conked out. He claims he can’t visit the area due to logistics, which might be true. It’s more likely that he’ll short-circuit on live television. The debris could pave the way for a fall, which would embarrass this presidency, rife with weakness, even more.

In the meantime, we have relief centers at capacity and running out of provisions. Most of the towns will likely have to be supplied through helicopters, which will take a lot of work, something that Joe or Kamala aren’t familiar with—they’re used to releasing a statement, making a speech, and then running away. The severe limitations of both clowns will be on full display as we enter the final weeks of the election. How can Kamala rise to the occasion? For now, it’s been an abject failure. And yet, Democrats want another four years of this mayhem.

When a toxic train derailment occurred in East Palestine, Ohio, it took weeks for someone from the administration to survey the damage. In what became a token visit, Pete Buttigieg arrived, decked out in his Brooks Brothers disaster gear. Biden has never been to East Palestine, which is a hardcore Trump country. Was it political? It looked that way until Maui saw the worst wildfire in a century, which killed over 100 people. Blue State Hawaii also got a taste of Biden and Harris’ blasé attitude toward crisis management. And now, in the final curtain call, they’re blowing this response to Helene. You need to meet with the people and yes, take questions from the media. This is the job, you idiots.

Kamala takes no questions on FEMA response, her staffers shove the press out of the room.

When disaster strikes, Biden and Kamala opt to do nothing, which is the hallmark characteristic of this ineffective, weak, and wholly dysfunctional administration.

Judge Jeanine: "This is what leaders do, and in the end, this is what Trump has done. Trump was there first... this is a pattern of behavior by Biden and Harris... Congratulations, you went to FEMA. You've got to go to the people." pic.twitter.com/iuv98QK8kK — Trump War Room (@TrumpWarRoom) September 30, 2024

And to think Biden actually said no aid to the hurricane victims as he’s sticking a stamp on another $8+ BILLION of those very tax payers’ dollars to Ukraine.

Guarantee you that Trump already has trucks loaded with supplies inbound, out of his own pocket like he's done in the past.

Will never be a “Katrina Moment” for the masses.

The media will never hold the Harris-Biden administration, FEMA, and the Democrat governor of NC accountable for any of it.

If Trump was in the White House now and Mark Robinson governor of NC, it would be non-stop stories about incompetence, failures, people dying and suffering while Trump doesn’t care, etc.

People are missing the point. Unless it’s TREATED like a Katrina moment by the media it won’t matter. They still set the narrative.

Biden/Harris legacy.

War in Ukraine.
War in the middle east.
Longshoreman’s strike right after an enormous natural disaster.

This strike and sections of I-40 that no longer exist will hurt our economy very badly.

Massive hurricane damage. East coast long shore strike. Iran attacks Israel.

I can't wait for Harris’ impromptu comments assuring us all is OK

Katrina was even worse because Governor Kathleen Blanco was paralyzed into inaction by fear of making President George W. Bush look good if she accepted national guard support. She had to consult with DNC officials before any decisions were made.

Meanwhile, Mayorkas is lecturing the red state folks suffering that “they were warned of increased disasters” due to... what else... climate change. That’s right, it’s their own damn fault for being “deniers.”

I wouldn’t spit on a single Democrat if they were on fire.

That was twenty years ago when social media was just starting. Today the public has access to many more sources of information. The old media has been shown to be untrustworthy. We shall see how this incompetence and failure of leadership affects the election.

Why should the people of North Carolina care the next time the rich liberals of California face destructive wildfires if this is how the liberals are going to react to natural disasters in North Carolina?

She should’ve traded in her $60,000 Tiffany’s necklace for a pair of Bluetooth earbuds.
