Injured Ray Fosse in the 1970 ALl Star game. Ray passed away about a year ago.
Rose certainly wanted to be HOF and before he died as documented in a recent Max/HBO documentary.
Puny vindictive sports writers shouldn’t have dominion over the entry into the Hall of Fame.
Keeping the all-time hit leader out of the HOF is an absurdity.
He made Fosse famous.
Dodgers have a player right now who I bet, bet on games. Of course MLB didn’t look to deep into that mess.
I attended hundreds of Reds games during Pete’s playing and Managing years. There was never another man who played the game so hard and so smart. Say what you will about his gambling, his playing has never been equaled and may never be.
Oakland says goodbye to major professional sports with A's final game
Saw many a game and players go through there in the 70’s

“Keeping the all-time hit leader out of the HOF is an absurdity.”

Charlie Hustle
I guess that makes 3.
You do realize there’s a Sportsbook at Great American Ballpark on Pete Rose Way in Cincinnati. When they legalize dope in a state aren’t pot criminal records expunged?
Yes because he wouldn't have been good enough to qualify.
OJ Simpson was murderer. Yet, I don't think he should have been removed from the pro football HOF.
Note that Pete bet on baseball and put him.
Unlike steroid use, gambling didn't have any impact on his accomplishments.
Ohtani should be banned from baseball. That's my understanding.
Anybody that kept tabs on Pete KNEW that projection from the media (and their stooge Bart) was always bull&#!+.
I was a Cardinal fan in those days, but the Big Red Machine show at Riverfront Stadium was something to appreciate.
May he rest in peace.
Linda Ronstadt? The 1970s are taking a beating this week.
No one played the game harder.
You’ll miss him? Did he visit you regularly or something?
He wasn't black, and the premier NBA player of his time who decided to retire and take up baseball for a year then return to the NBA after the heat died down.......
