Historic federal indictment against Mayor Adams claims he took $10M in illegal donations, free luxury travel, ritzy perks
The New York Post ^ | 09/26/2024 | Craig McCarthy et al

Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on charges he allegedly took $10 million in illegal campaign contributions and bribes — including free flights and ritzy perks — from foreign nationals in exchange for favors, according to a bombshell federal indictment unsealed by Manhattan prosecutors Thursday.

***

“In 2014, Eric Adams, the defendant, became Brooklyn Borough President. Thereafter, for nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish government official seeking to gain influence over him,” the 57-page indictment charges.

“As Adams’s prominence and power grew, his foreign-national benefactors sought to cash in on their corrupt relationships with him, particularly when, in 2021, it became clear that Adams would become New York City’s mayor,” ***

“Adams agreed, providing favorable treatment in exchange for the illicit benefits he received.”

*** Prior to the indictment coming down, sources had revealed the charges were likely connected to allegations the Turkish government had illegally funneled money into Adams’ mayoral campaign in exchange for approval of the Turkish consulate in Manhattan.

“Eric Adams the defendant, sought and accepted illegal campaign contributions in the form of “nominee” or “straw” contributions, meaning that the true contributors conveyed their money through nominal donors, who falsely certified they were contributing their own money,” the indictment states.

“By smuggling their contributions to Adams through U.S.-based straw donors, Adams’s overseas contributors defeated federal laws that serve to prevent foreign influence on U.S. elections.” *** He also claimed he was being targeted for criticizing the Harris-Biden administration over its handling of the migrant crisis that’s wrecked the Big Apple.***

In other words, he behaved like an average Democrat politician of his stature.

This jerkoff can only facilitate the illegal alien invasion and complain he is not getting enough federal tax dollars for it, rather than suggest that the federal policy of leaving the door open is the problem. Enjoy federal prison!

So why did he not enjoy the protection that most demonrats enjoy?

Did he a) fail to send 10% up to the big guy; did he b) speak out of turn one too many times; or was it something else?

Just asking?

Democrats have indictments at the ready for politicians and candidates of all types. They also have scandals ( real or made up) at the ready for all conservatives Recent example: governor of North Carolina with a 20-year-old accusation.

I remember my sister saying that the minute any conservative is even mentioned in the least way for a Federal judgeship, the Democrats will “start going through his trash” to find something on him. That was long before smart phones and social media, which is now researched going back for decades.

Something is still very very off here. Didn’t FJB’s son Hunter did the same crap? And all he got was a slap on the wrist? They have got their sights on somebody big…Americans aren’t stupid. They NEVER EVER backstab one of their own without a plan in mind. This man just happens to be the Chivo for the slaughter. Nothing is coincidental like Steve Bannon says. The DOJ is evil they’re demonic and they are after a big fish attached to this man. Or like their motto says show me the man and I’ll show you the crime. So this is purpose driven…Something big is about to drop. October surprise?

Before Affirmative Action most politicians were at least clever enough to keep their graft well off into the background. This guy sounds like a moron to me when he speaks. I’m not at all surprised at the sheer scale of his greed. I am wondering why they are going after him and saying over and over that no one is above the law…Trump better start watching his back…again…

They ALL take the same money, the same amount, in the same way, from the same people. Adam’s step out of line.

I absolutely believe he did everything he’s being accused of

It was a complete coincidence that they started going after him when he criticized Biden.

Where does the Constitution give the feds authority over this case about a city mayor?

Looks like more federal gov’t overreach which is MUCH more threatening to our lives, liberties, and well being than what any city mayor does.

ONLY $10M in illegal donations, free luxury travel, ritzy perks proof he’s at the lower end of the democrat political ladder.

Biden chuckles

Article I, Section 8, clause 18 of the United States Constitution.
