A Chechen warlord who claimed Elon Musk gifted him a Cybertruck accused the Telsa CEO on Thursday of “remotely” disabling the machine-gun-mounted vehicle, which needed to be towed off the Russian battlefield.

Ramzan Kadyrov, 47, the ruthless president of Russia’s Chechnya region, claimed that his Cybertruck stopped working after he revealed it was sent into the Northern Military District for Russian troops to use in the war on Ukraine.

“Elon Musk behaved badly,” Kadyrov wrote on Telegram, according to Politico. “He gives expensive gifts from the bottom of his heart and then remotely disconnects them.”Chechen warlord, Putin ally accuses Elon Musk of disabling his machine-gun-mounted Tesla Cybertruck on front lines.

Your truck may not work the way you expect it to.
Your walkie-talkie may not work the way you expect it to.
Your pager may not work the way you expect it to.

Welcome to the 21st century where some people have bad plans for almost everybody.

“pretty funny”

If Russia shuts the Teslas off on the Washington Beltway there won’t be much laughing in metro DC.

I drove through DC a week ago. The Tesla infestation was especially heavy there.

Don’t look a Gift Horse down into it’s barrel.
You may discover it has been remotely ‘fixed’ for you!

So, does this mean Teslas are reporting back identification, and location info, among other things, to the manufacturer?

Maybe a 60 year old diesel truck would have been a better choice. You’re not doing anything remotely to that.

If true, Russia may decide to disable the satellites that Elon Musk owns that shut down that truck.

Russia has access to Tesla's internal systems from within Russia? Otherwise, I think you're grossly overinflating Russia's abilities or at least their sophistication.

If true, Russia may decide to disable the satellites that Elon Musk owns that shut down that truck.

Because Russian tech is notoriously reliable and rock solid in its abilities and sophistication.

I can’t remember which one but this was a plot point in one of the fast and furious movies. Modern cars get shut down so the gang goes old school and gets vintage muscle cars with no computers on board.

And this is why you don't use anything that *OTHER PEOPLE* have complete control over.

I don't know why people are so complacent about using tech stuff that other people control. The constantly forced "upgrades" to the Windows operating system is another example.

It's always funny until it happens to our beloved ruling class.

At that point it becomes absolutely hilarious.

My guess is that Elon did not mount a machine gun to it. And did not intend for it to be used in a war.
