Holy crap. I had a vision of a Sports Arena Struggle Session. I live in the bluest of blue states, and as I was driving out of my neighborhood this morning, one of my distant neighbors on a cut de sac who has a lot of good looking vintage cars (my memory says 4-6) had a restored 1930's pickup with a Trump banner, his image filling the top and looking out, draped across it that said (I think):

It's Me and Vance running for office. I know you don't like it. Suck it up and get used to it."

I only saw a glimpse, so I can't remember, because I got focused on a police cruiser pulling into the culture de sac.

I wondered if he was being harrassed, some neighbor called it in, they didn't like the way his truck was parked, whatever.

I don't think it would have been the police though. I have had a few interactions with them in my decades of living here, and have always found them to be very professional and courteous.

It had to be a neighbor calling in a complaint which the cop had to answer, because when I came back a half hour later, the truck and banner were still there. I expect the person who called it in assumed the wooded area next to his house wasn't his, and thought they could poke him in the eye.

I was in an In-N-Out when I caught this guy’s attention. He was dark skinned by not Black. I was wearing my “I’m voting for the Convicted Felon” hat. The guy made like four trips to the soft drink dispenser and just kept staring at me. Finally, he came over to take a close look. I had already figured out which chair near me wasn’t screwed down into the floor. He read my hat and said, “I LOVE THAT HAT!!!”
