Forget about the ducks and geese disappearing from public parks. In this beleaguered city, residents say the biggest problem, by far, is that wild-driving Haitian migrants — unfamiliar with US road laws — are turning the streets into combat zones.
And the result can be deadly. The family of Springfield grandma Kathy Heaton experienced this firsthand on Dec. 1 — a day after her 71st birthday — when a Haitian migrant ran her down while she was collecting her garbage cans.
And the driver got off scot-free.

Kathy was struck so violently that both her socks were left behind on the pavement as her body was thrown across the street. Debris littered the roadway, and clumps of hair were found in the car’s cracked windshield..
But three days later, prosecutors decided that the driver of the car that hit her – 38-year-old Robenson Louis – wouldn’t face charges, even though Mandy said he was driving with expired license plates.

Mandy and countless other Springfield residents feel the problem is in the roughly 20,000 Haitian migrants who have flooded into this city of just 60,000 people in just a few years.

Where and how are they getting the cars? Is the government giving them the cars to?
I saw a video where the automobile insurance rates have skyrocketed for long time residents because they now live in a zip code with such a high accident rate.
Who in the government is getting the kickback to let these Haitians run wild in the neighborhoods and on the streets?

Here in North Texas, “South Asian” drivers are the ones to watch out for. They either drive too fast, or way too slow.
I’m trying to imagine those in our government bringing in thousands of these people from Haiti and putting them on major U.S. roads and highways...Those responsible for the Springfield disaster obviously want death and chaos. They should be charged and prosecuted.
Do they have those cool Toyota small pickups with the machine guns mounted in the cargo bed like the Somalians?
In my small town which is one of the most conservative towns in my state has almost universally leftist government employees. Lots of positions which are “non partisan” are really very partisan leftists. And most lawyers are leftist. So even though the town is 70 percent republican. Anyone in government is woke or very leftist. So our government is failing us. And its very hard to find conservatives in government at all.
I checked and all countywide officials in Springfield’s county, except for the coroner, are Republicans. I think you have made a good observation here.

“They didn’t feel that it was anything prosecutable. We don’t know why. The only facts I know are that two prosecutors met and felt there were no charges to be filed. We were devastated,” Mandy said.”
This doesn’t pass the smell test. I need more info about this.
How are they getting driver’s licenses, much less the cars to drive??????
To explain this...a certain number of small industries exist in the area, and over the past decade with escalating drug-use...like most middle-classed communities in the US...they are hard-pressed to find ‘decent’ labor.
So this ‘deal’ was cranked up, with local Republican political support (maybe they didn’t grasp how many were involved), but this Haitian ‘door-way’ would open. Contracts were signed and the Haitians had regular jobs. So they went to banks and used-car lots...getting loans. If you asked any of the people involved...they were probably Republicans.
I would imagine at the very beginning...the talk was probably a group of 3,000...but no one ever bothered to shut the door-way. Unemployment rate for the area? Near 4.5-percent. How many of the 20,000 are employed? Unknown...no one counts this kind of data. If you asked anyone from the state or federal folks....how much welfare funding is issued monthly to them...there’s to be total silence (no idea).
Springfield, OH has been mixed bag of politics for several decades. The area was hit hard, early in the Rust Belt saga.
The area has a blend of farmers, white and black, Democrat and Republican.
Since the 1980’s, the city and surroundings have been heavily under the influence of The Politiburo:
Wright State University and its budget, are strongly controlled by leftists - it is a regional (midwest) center for meetings of leftists-and-unions, the Democrat Party and union foot soldiers who are not peaceful people unless bathed in marijuana, drugs, and lately, tatoos.
Did people not wonder, how, in the 1990’s, “The Dayton Accords” [Balkans crisis] were based out of and about Wright-Patterson AFB (adjacent to Wright State University)?
The area is a hive of left-wing “change artists.”
The kind of “climate culture” that unions and other organized crime networks (The Politburo) thrive on.
The west side and north side of Dayton, OH, has been buried under that political-misanthropy(sp?) since the 1960’s.
