Russian forces lost almost 1,400 fighters and 50 artillery systems in the past day as the Kremlin pushes forward to threaten a key Ukrainian city in the country's eastern Donetsk region and Kyiv holds its grip on swathes of Russia's southern Kursk region.
Moscow sustained 1,380 casualties between Monday and Tuesday bringing the tally of total Russian casualties to 627,790.
Updated figures on Tuesday put Russia's artillery losses at 50 over the past day—with a total of 17,880 systems lost during Russia's full-scale invasion of the country, which began in February 2022.

Total BS propaganda.
This isn’t like when biden left all our equipment for the Taliban?
You’re quite right. In two and half years of trying to invade and hold territory, not one Russian has had his hair mussed. Everything is going according to Putin’s master plan.
In other words, a totally unreliable source (otherwise known as the Big Lie).
I bet even Mediazona is howling with laughter at this.
🤡🤮
This number is high - but in the range of the daily casualties Russia has been experiencing all year. Russia is throwing waves of troops at minefields, dug-in trenches and drone armies. Very costly.
I’m sorry for your losses, my communist friend.
Estimates are that Russia has suffered 1.5 million killed and 4 million wounded. Nearly 80% of its airforce has been shot-down and they have run out of missiles.
There are now draft riots taking place in every major city in Russia, Facebook and Instagram have been unbanned in Russia and are again spreading tide-pod challenges, and news of waves of African immigrants burning Orthodox Churches and historical buildings. Meanwhile, large numbers of LGBTQ elements of the Russian military are at the moment taking over the Kremlin, forcing Putin into hiding, and dying children’s hair in rainbow colors. Victory is at hand!
Oh wait.... sorry
That’s just some neocon fantasy porn I was reading.
Never mind.
“Newsweek could not independently verify these numbers “
But they reported it anyways.
I live in America, unlike you
I agree the numbers are suspect. Ukraine is the source of data.
That said, Ukrainian casualties were 240 (again, from Ukraine).
The typical casualty ratio in this kind of offensive warfare, in general, is 5:1 and that typical ratio has been borne true in this war. 5X240 = 1,250. So this is within the realm of typical.
Gravity is a fact. Explaining gravity is theory.
1380?
Putin doesn’t give a crap.
Send in some more fodder.

See, Jon? You may not disagree with Zeepers unless you are a commie.
So simple.
Explaining gravity is gravitation.
Hilarious, but no, Russia’s casualties are absurdly high but not that high... yet. You know there are all sorts of groups tracking battlefield losses, right?
