Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville tells “Dan Abrams Live” that former President Donald Trump needs to get his game face on because he’s “hearing good things out of Pittsburgh” about Vice President Kamala Harris‘ debate preparation.
“I think she is very well prepared. I think she’s coming with a game. And I don’t, I don’t know what’s going on in Trump world, but he better tighten his chin strap, because she’s coming after him,” Carville said.
He called Trump a “totally known entity” and emphasized the focus of the debate will be the nation’s first look at Harris on the hunt.
“I think tomorrow night is very critical,” Carville added. “By the way, I hate to say this, but I expect her to do very well.”
Hogan Gidley, a former White House deputy press secretary in the Trump administration, thinks the GOP nominee will win the Tuesday debate because of Harris’ overly prepared responses.
“I will say James is right 100% about the vice president. Kamala Harris will have all of the contrived, rehearsed lines ready to go after Donald Trump,” Gidley said.
But, countered Carville, who doesn’t practice for a presidential debate?
“That’s the most asinine charge I’ve ever heard against a political campaign. You think we don’t all get together and debate prep?” he asked.

I expect that, as usual, the Republican will be the clear winner of this debate, since Democrat policies are insane and their record is abysmal.
However, again as usual, it will be scored as a big win for the Democrat, since the fake news does the scoring.
The Trump v Biden debate was a fluke - the fake news admitted Biden lost as a way of ditching him for the younger woman of color. Don’t expect any evenhandedness this time.

IF she has to, in any way, think on her feet, she’ll collapse.
Now, the moderators certainly aren’t going to throw her any curve ball questions that will require her to think on her feet... and will do whatever they can to prop her up..
If she doesn’t totally collapse they’ll say she won... no matter how bad it is... however in reality, she has zero shot at beating Trump.
I don’t expect her to collapse, but she certainly could, especially if she ever has to actually face an unscripted, unprepared question of any sort. However, most likely she’ll just attack Trump, Trump will simply say look at the disaster you have wrought, and in the end nothing much will change.
We shall see.

The Prep will help but in the end her unseasoned self will come out. By not taking hard questions she has made herself weaker. Trump only gets a heavy dose of hard questions and is unflappable. It will be a battle of one liners—but it will go to the counter puncher in the end. The spin doctors will have a field day trying to make a victor out of old word salad Kammy. It will be entertaining to say the least. My take: Kamala takes the first 1/2 hour. Trump gets the second on points. and the last half hour a TKO for Trump. All will see the victor.

Kamala was a debater at Howard University.
She has access to people that know how to win elections.
Most contenders would not even agree to a debate with these rules. It looks to be totally one-sided for Harris.

Per the ad homenims, he should attempt to throw her off her game by very lightly joking about or mocking her debate crutches: 1) How she hides behind looking down and furiously scribbling notes
2) Her career long hair of repeating phrases in failing attempts to make them seem more profound 3) Reminding all that she’s nasty and that “no one on her staff likes her... Gold Star families don’t want anything to do with her...World leaders know she is not bright, she is not a smart person...”
If he can at all, subtly, make her introspective or self-conscious, he might trigger her natural nervous defense mechanisms and derail her. Her short circuiting is a danger and, trust me, SHE knows it!
(Let me just say, from my college speaking days, it takes one to know one. I used to be her. 😜)
I would say rather that Kamala had better tighten her knee pads.
If Trump can handle Megyn Kelly's question ("You've called women you don't like, 'fat pigs,' 'dogs,' 'slobs,' and 'disgusting animals..."), he can handle anything Kamala can toss his way.
