I don’t think Matt has heard from the doctor yet, but Natalie said she had a meeting with the psychiatrist last night, and they have come up with a reasonable plan of attack that does not include drugs for now (she hated taking them - put on 15 pounds in 2 weeks while hardly eating). Ketamine treatments, but not sure when they start. It will take awhile though....no quick solutions.
I have been knitting away - a sweater for a friend, then Audrey wanted a sweater for another one of her friends as a birthday gift. I will finish that one up today, then I’ll have to just start making sweaters randomly (maybe to donate to women’s shelters or something) because I’ve got lots of wool and everyone here is all “sweatered up”. I’ll have to stick to kids’ sweaters, as I only have 2 or 3 balls of each color left. Lots of kids at the women’s shelters, though. My shoulder gets sore, but I can’t knit and snack at the same time, so I’ll suffer with the shoulder lol.

I think Rob Reiner and others, and I’m thinking of someone in my own family, have had their brains trained into genuine panic. Judy, I think it is similar to what has happened to your daughter. I’ve noticed that some people when presented with any news of any sort ALWAYS look for the problems, or ALWAYS see negative consequences. I found I was falling prey to that type of thinking when I began, and honestly in my brain, feeling that NOTHING was ever my fault.
Our neurons and synapses become trained, pathways in our heads are developed, to think along certain lines. Just like in a forest it is easier to follow developed paths, and vines and undergrowth are in less trodden places, it just becomes standard procedure, our default methods, to think these things.
I do hope Reiner, and my relative, can break away from their traumatic way of thinking. FYI, my relative has equated the re-election of Trump to the grief and trauma of his parents dying.
Judy, I do think there is hope for Natalie. You are already seeing small steps in the right direction.
It’s a good thing the by pap lady came by to see richard. I guess that’s the problem when you’re in the hospital, you see different doctors that might give conflicting directions.
Hopefully this is enough of a scar to keep him off of the cigarettes.
So many people here smoke, and I have no idea how they can afford it. I didn’t even know they had cigarettes behind customer service at grocery stores, until the other day I had to go exchange something at kroger.
Oh what sweet dogs! I think those are labs? Cooper tries to attack all big dogs except for labs and golden retrievers. I think he recognizes their calmness and sweetness. We had friends that had a bunch of each, and we would go visit and they would run up to each other like they were the same size.
Good breakfast, exit, and here’s some good news to go along with it!
