I was a smoker for 40 some years. I quit in 1996 but I too have ended up with COPD as a result.
My son has asbestosis along with the COPD which has made it difficult to get the Co2 out of his lungs and the smoking is making it worse. They have him on a nicotine patch and Wellbutrin and so far he says he doesn’t have any desire to smoke. I hope that remains that way when he gets released to come home.
I haven’t heard anything today and since I took my oldest daughter out to eat for her birthday I didn’t go up to the hospital. I have messaged both his wife and him but so far no answer.

It used to be a Chinese Restaurant (the best) that had been here for well over 50 years. I took my daughter there on the last night it was open on New Years Eve.
A Mexican couple bought it and now it is Mexican food which just opend up. I was NOT real impressed. Limited menu and loud music. I won’t go back to that one. We have so many Mexican Restaurants here to choose from.

My your daughter-in-law is Spunky also and the two of you get along well it seems.
It’s really difficult when your child is suffering —no matter if your child is two weeks old or 60 years old, your kid is always your kid.
We’re thinking about you and hoping you’ll have the strength to get through this. The toll on us going through something like this is usually pretty heavy, physically and emotionally
