Jimmy Carter votes

Is this their October Surprise? His vote, his death, his funeral consuming the next two weeks filling up the networks until the election.

Well, I thought the Mt Rushmore area was real pretty, tons of tourist activities though. I had to stop in Livingston Montana, nice old downtown with lots of activity, close to Yellowstone. Stopped in Piere, capital of S Dakota. Very live able town, Big river, lots of parks, beautiful capital grounds, no homeless that I could see, unlike Olympia Washington with all the freeway access areas crammed with homeless tent camps.

It’s all beautiful, it’s just the winter weather! But after being here, where there are houses literally everywhere - no long roads without a dwelling in sight or isolated houses, and it’s hard to find anything not in sight or earshot of others - those quiet distances sure are beckoning.

How much have house prices gone up around there? I’m not sure about affordability now.

I’m keeping Winter!!!

My part of the deal is no more litters. Which I’m fine with because they come with a lot of risk since I don’t have a rescue backing me. It’s only a matter of time when I can’t find a rescue to take them or they have feline leukemia and are unacceptable- and I have 6 ot 7 new cats.

And Sable will leave home if I bring any more home. She’s miserable and scared now, so she gets picked on. The only ones nice to her are Cooper and Winter.

Woooo hoooooooo! I’m so happy for you! That is great news for you, and Winter! And Sable too lol.

She’s going to be such a sweet little friend to all.

A quick update on my “spider bite.”

Now, I don’t think it was a spider bite. The first spot appeared on or around Sept. 19. It was a pus-filled spot on my skin near my right wrist and was very itchy. Shortly after posting about it, I had another spot near by. Then, another. It spread to my face, my other hand, and my neck.

At some point I googled my symptoms and the overwhelming response suggested molluscum contagiosum. The pictures seem to indicate this. The progression of infection and healing seems to suggest this, too.

All this to say is that my “spider bite” and the second spot are now healed with only scar tissue remaining. It has taken this long.

My friends here want to pack me off to Singapore, spend thousands of dollars and a lot of time. That is a lot of effort for a self-limiting condition.

Over 300,000 Georgians cast their votes today in a historic first day of early voting smashing the previous record of 136,000 in 2020. From a Georgia GOP source that is getting regular data updates:

“I am very encouraged.

Only 100k from core Atlanta counties and a significant percentage of those votes will be GOP.

All the rest are smaller cities but the overwhelming majority is from rural counties.”

Keep doing the work and turning out the vote. Sprint through the finish line.

I did not look up house prices, but S Dakota has no property so it would seem to attract retirees.
