On the local news, the city’s PR guy said we have national guard, firefighters, structural engineers, search and rescue from all over. This is considered a disaster area and everyone needed to go home and quit looking at the downtown bridges, etc.
Yeah we were there too, it was the most crowded I’ve seen the downtown area except when big name country bands play at the covered bridge park.
I think NC got it a LOT worse and can use any extra help. I think water and power has been restored here in most areas and flood water has receded.

It does sem odd that 3 states in, we had such high winds and rain.

Harris, 59, told “All The Smoke” hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson that she made her “gut” decision to select Walz after being unable to sleep much the night before, waking up early that Tuesday morning in Washington and using cooking to calm her mind.
“And that one morning I just, I mean, I had, I don’t know, a few hours’ sleep — and I, you know, I like to sleep. I just got up,” she said. “I was like — so I just went out and got a pork roast and started marinating it.”

Worries of next storm taking out all the bridges going west on the interstate.
Mayor of Asheville is not answering questions and has not done anything. Whole Asheville infrastructure water system is totally down.
Only way in is through CLT Greensville area. Whole town of Lake Lure completely gone.
Mudslides/landslides taking out homes and people.
Illegal Aliens were dropped off days before in Asheville and are just wandering around everywhere.
