The Stasi needs someone to deflect the blame for their incompetence. They arrested the innocent dealer who mass the mistake of selling ammo to the las vegas shooter. They want a scapegoat.
Or any one of a million groups or individuals.
But if things get out of control and this indeed goes deeper, then the parents should worry about disappearing.

The major question, here, IMO. “Someone” paying for them? Or do these powerhouse attorneys think they can sue someone for BIG cash?
It is imperative in a case like this that the prosecution and defense wear different hats but actually are on the same team.
That way all discovery and information going out to media is tightly controlled.
I don’t think Crook’s parents found this law firm in the yellow pages. Don’t think they are covering their own legal expenses either.
