Starting Tuesday, transgender Texans are no longer able to change the sex on their driver’s license, according to a new state Department of Public Safety (DPS) policy.
“As of Aug. 20, 2024, DPS has stopped accepting these court orders as a basis to change sex identification in department records – including driver licenses,” a spokesperson with the department wrote to The Hill.

Before the policy change, Texans could change the sex on their driver’s license if they had a valid court order. However, the DPS spokesperson wrote that state Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) “raised concerns regarding the validity of court orders being issued.”

Considering how prone to violence they are, probably best that they don’t drive.

Eyewitnesses see a female perp. ID says female. After weeks of searching for female, DNA at crime scene is male.

It’s not just crucial to criminal investigations. I’m thinking that it’s also a matter of national security. Imagine, for example, that they’re looking for a female terrorist traveling with a dirty bomb... that is really a male. Authorities let the male bomb-carrier right on through any security checks. This leftist lunacy could eventually cost the lives of millions.

However, the first time we went to it, we were greeted with an apparent transgender woman (obvious man wearing women's clothing and make up). I chatted with this person and found them deluded, but the exchange was pleasant. We immediately decided to drive to the prior location, from then on, as this person had said (s)he'd be heading to Chicago in six months, because (s)he was fed up with the locals.
Flash forward four months, and the new location is permanently closed. It was built from scratch and I can't imagine what will use its facility without wiping it all away.
My wife contacted the company and they said they had closed it to focus on the prior locations.
However, I know it likely closed so quick because everyone was weirded out by the window attendant.
Texas has nailed down the issues of citizenship and gender pretty tightly. You cannot get a Texas drivers license renewed without supplying an original (or notarized copy) of your birth certificate -and- an original (or notarized copy) of your social security card. Of course your BC has your birth gender stated so that is transferred to your new TX DL.
Of course few illegals have any of these documents so if there is an accident or a crime or an attempt to vote, it should be easy to grab those folks and set them up with a one way ticket out of the USA.

....true.....what irks the hell out of me are the efforts of these mentally ill folks who want their birth certificates retroactively changed from the gender they were assigned [sic!!] at birth to the gender they think/feel they are now...totally absurd.....this simply should not be allowed...
I look out of my window across 2500 square miles of desert and my heart breaks for all the people Texands reduced to tears for not being able to change their sexual identity on their DL. Can I suggest that those folks seek refuge in a more foregiving place, you know, like Iran.
