WASHINGTON (Aug. 22, 2024) — 45th President Donald J. Trump will address the National Guard Association of the United States’ 146th General Conference & Exhibition Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.
The conference, which is the association’s annual business meeting, runs Friday through Monday at Huntington Place, the Motor City’s main convention center. More than 4,000 Guard officers, spouses and other guests are registered to attend.
In addition to association business, the conference agenda every year includes Pentagon leaders and lawmakers. During presidential election years, NGAUS also invites the Democrat and Republican nominees for president.
The association has hosted at least one major-party candidate in every presidential election year since 1992.
President Trump spoke to the association’s conference as a candidate for president in 2016.
“Members of the National Guard are more than defenders of democracy, we’re all participants,” said retired Maj. Gen. Francis M. McGinn, the NGAUS president. “We want to know how the next administration will support the National Guard and whether the Guard will continue its prominent role in the National Defense Strategy.
“We’re looking forward to hearing what President Trump has to say,” McGinn said.
The association also invited Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, to speak.
The rest of the NGAUS conference business agenda is available at www.ngaus.org/146th-general-conference-exhibition-business-agenda
This year’s conference theme is The National Guard: Built to Defend America.

God bless dear ROTUS ❤️🇺🇸❤️
You would think he would want the opportunity to go before them and explain why he claimed the rank of Command Sgt. Major when he didn't complete his education for that rank and retired at a lesser rank.
And why he pretended to fight in combat when he didn't.
I'm sure the men and women of the NG would be very interested in his explanation.
You will be missed, ML.
Will hold your spot for you.
You’re very welcome, dear Jane💕
God bless dear ROTUS ❤️🇺🇸❤️
AMEN & DITTO🙏
Thanks for the ping, Gran.
Not sleeping well, especially after watching the Roseanne Barr clip.
Just watched My Donald at Arlington, prayers for those families and friends. Actually, for our nation.
Watching his conference at Eden Center in Falls Church.
The people at my nail shop are Vietnamese and they absolutely love Trump.
They cannot figure out still, how Trump lost, they tell me all the Vietnamese in the country love Trump.
Rosane video tells why he lost.
You’re welcome, Jane.
I had thread already just waiting for time conformation.
Has been a busy morning for our dear President already with the laying of the wreath for the Abbygate 13 and the presser at the Vietnamese Rastaurant in Falls Church, VA with Hung Cao.
Hard to keep up with him.
Thank you for your service to our country.
I love your bump stars.
Hi everyone.
Thankful that President Trump will honor our fallen soldiers.
