The largest event for the LGBTQ+ community is months away in downtown Orlando.
Come Out With Pride is back this year for its 20th anniversary at Lake...But finding details about it on VisitFlorida.com is currently not an option. The LGBTQ+ travel section is gone with no explanation.
The section previously featured blog posts and videos related to the state’s

“This is disappointing”
It is?
I was always miffed that the state didn’t maintain a ginger site.
I thought Disney was the big deviant
go-to. Besides... some entity is going to fill the vacuum, and all will be roses and pink champagne again rest assured.
My sister and I traveled cross country last month and we were winging it the entire way. Early morning while driving, we would start figuring out how far we were going to go and we would start researching hotels. I did see the ‘LGBTQ friendly’ hotels and wondered what the heck was that about.
Did they provide sex aids? Did they ensure there would be no gay lynchings? I just didn’t understand why they were presented like a protected class and needed special accommodations, protections or assurances. Seriously.
Replace ‘LGBTQ friendly’ with ‘Christian friendly’ or ‘Conservative friendly’ and see how that goes over.
Why not have a carve out for all the other DSM mental conditions? Why limit it to just “that group”
Correction: it isn’t a state web site but it does receive state funding.

Color me heartbroken!
From the ads for Vrbo it looks like it’s vacation rentals for LGBTQ+ travelers , LOL
Does Florida’s website have a section for STRAIGHT people to be able to vacation in peace, in a place where they can watch TV without having to see men ‘kiss’, or let their children SAFELY go to the hotel swimming pool.
I didn’t think so.
Back in the 90s about 30 of us from my Army Reserve unit flew into Orlando for an exercise, we noticed we got a lot of strange looks at the airport walking as we walked in 2s and 3s; white males, clean cut, neatly dressed. At the hotel we found out it was gay weekend at Disney, which explained the looks.
Wouldn’t happen now as now of us had purple hair, weird dress, visible tats, etc.
“Come Out With Pride is back this year for its 20th anniversary at Lake...”
IDK.... but don’t pride goeth before the fall?
Special treatment is NOT equal treatment! So, is the #2 favorite group of the pervocrats gonna sue?
You want sodomy? Go to any Northeast state,
It seems that I was born a “homophobe”. It’s nothing that I’m ashamed of and I think all “homophobes” should be proud of the fact that they are repulsed by queer sex practices and “come out” as forever straight to their friends, family, and everyone else. Maybe we could get a month dedicated to us and have some sort of a parade. After all, we were born this way and we are certainly experiencing a lot of discrimination and bigotry. Our parades should be just as offensive to “homos” as their parades are to us. I have a few ideas for “homophobe” parades, but can’t share them here.
This Florida resident is happy it’s gone.
Sunshine and gingers don’t mix
If it’s not a state sponsored and run event, why have it on a state website?
