Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) revealed he will skip the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago this week to spend time with his children.
In an interview with the Free Press, Fetterman explained that his kids were “out of school” and the convention, which runs from August 19 to August 22, was “four days” he could spend with his children.
“I’ve got three young kids, and they’re out of school,” Fetterman told the outlet. “That’s four days I can spend with my children.”
The Pennsylvania senator added that he had made the decision not to attend the convention “well before” the June 27 presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden:

He continues to pleasantly surprise us.
I very rarely agree with him, but Fetterman has proved he’s not always in lockstep with his party.

He’s getting a break from the Hamas wing. Usually protesting his home and following him. They would be all over him in Chicago.
He hates Commie-La, and knows she and Walz are planning to stab Israel in the back as well.
Continually exceeding my expectations. Not perfect, but who is? His trajectory and honesty has been refreshing. He may be a living example that lock-step leftists are diseased, and his recovery is complete.
Wise move John Fetterman. Best to stay far away from that show. It may well turn into a mess.
Smart fellow
He has shown a lot of courage. It’s refreshing.
Said it before and I’ll say it again, Trump should make a point of saying he can absolutely work with Fetterman. He may be able to get a non endorsement endorsement from him and maybe even the Govenor.
Though we were rather hard on this fellow early on, it seems Senator Mongo is proving himself to be somewhat of a pragmatist.
Maybe the stroke gave him some common sense.
Is he trying to be the sane Democratic standing. This isn’t the first common sense thing I’ve heard from the man.
God help them.
He is. He is leaving them to their own destruction.
God help his children is what I mean.
