On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Source,” Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) wouldn’t say if he backs 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris’ “federal ban on price gouging on groceries” proposal because “The devil’s in the details.” And “where do you end this? What are the details like? How do you define price gouging? That will be something that we’ll have to work through.”
Host Kaitlan Collins asked, “On that economic plan, do you support a federal ban on price gouging on groceries?”

“”Yes, go back and watch the tape (if you can stomach it).””
No No No - I haven’t done anything to deserve that.....
As a matter of fact, WE as a country haven’t done anything to deserve her OR her running mate. How can ONE state have so many ignorant voters to put him in the governor’s office? Some are speaking up about the VP pick but is anyone listening?
Someone once said, “never underestimate the stupidity of the voters” but I guess this is more exact by H. L. Mencken:
“”No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.””
First of all, I would like someone on the left to explain what they think price gouging is exactly. Windfall profits? Everyone agrees that prices have gone up that affect everyone, especially fuel, so everyone’s costs have risen. What does a manufacturer or retailer do when costs go up? Wouldn’t it be logical to raise their prices? How much of an increase would be reasonable? When do the increases constitute price gouging? Is anyone on the left making an inquiry in to this issue? Do they even understand that they should be asking this question? Or are they just assuming that an increase in prices are absolute proof of price gouging? (Rhetorical questions)
I think Washington wants to punish Americans for daring to complain about the nightmare economy that they created by making it a whole lot worse.
Isn’t the margin for grocery stores usually about 1%?
I’ve been gouged a lot by government; I don’t recall ever being gouged by a grocer.
Strange that he’s not immediately jumping on board. When has Goldman ever done anything other than cheerlead for the Democratic Party?
