“Back the Blue”. Until it happens to YOU!
This is a LOT more common than many thought, and all these personal dashcams have started to bring to view more and more of the misbehaviour of the constabulary.
So much for the “Most cops are good guys” narrative that’s been rubbed into our faces for years. If “most” of the cops are good guys, why didn’t/haven’t/won’t they stop this kind of abuse of their position?
When is the guy getting sued for deprivation of rights under color of law?
>> Police chief in small WV town stops woman for expired registration.
He probably wanted to hit on her.
I guess the shirt that had the word “police” on it, the blue lights on the unmarked car, and the black handgun screamed police impersonation! The cop may have overreacted, but this idiot driver is at fault, too
I remember before cameras I’d see a story where the cops said someone “resisted arrest”, “made a furtive move” “reached for his waistband” and the story just seemed fishy. I’d get into arguments with this fellow who was a lawyer who represented police, and he’d get very angry that I’d question these stories.
When cameras became more common, many of these “fishy” stories did, in fact, turn out to be police frauds.
FIle this one under “But the other 99%...”
Since the Chief was NOT in uniform and flat out REFUSED to properly identify himself, he should be Criminally Charged with Impersonating a Peace Officer and Thrown in PRISON until he learns to respect the citizens he works for.
