Iran has lost the element of surprise due to delay in attack- security analyst

Security and Strategic Affairs Analyst Faiz Al-Asmar claimed that the delay in Iran’s attack has caused it to lose the element of surprise, strengthening Israel, during an interview with the Saudi Al-Hadath channel.

He said, "In terms of the situation on the ground, it can be said that Iran and Hezbollah's delay in responding to the deaths of Ismail Haniyeh and Fuad Shukr have so far allowed Israel and the US to strengthen their position on the ground and use all means available. There is currently a warship that has recently arrived in the area. All of this has given Israel and the US the opportunity to increase their strength and deploy the necessary defense measures to repel the attack. As a result, Iran has essentially lost the most significant element in modern warfare, which is the element of surprise.”

"The statements of the leadership in Iran are part of a propaganda war designed to sow anxiety and fear in the Israeli public," he continued.

Any attack will make the Biden-Harris administration look weak as no one knows who is in charge of any response. This will give Trump an advantage, so they are keeping their powder dry until after the election hoping that Harris wins. Then the gloves will come.

Good.

Any advantage for Israel is good.

Do not believe that Iran has the stealthy ,hypersonic missiles or the conventional capability to successfully attack Israel directly. However thousands of “Israeli Arabs” live in Israel and tens of thousands of Palestinians work daily in Israel. Clandestine terror is the best Iranian option. Oct 7 demonstrated that Israeli intelligence and security although normally vaunted has its gaps.

Maybe not. After a while, they might relax a bit, then the Iranians will strike. Israelis must remain vigilant and always aware. One thing is pretty clear, the Iranians will strike, just a matter of time. Iran needs to be taken out before it’s too late.

Pretty sure Israel was prepared for a response before they even *KA-BOOM*-ed the Hamas-hole.

Duh, when you announce retaliation you give up the “element of surprise”.

Today (this evening) would be a symbolic day to attack as it is the Day of Mourning because both Temples were destroyed on the same day (along with lots of other bad things).

Indeed, Iran said that would be the day.

But I agree Iran really doesn’t have a great means of attack.

But what I suspect will happen is an all-out attack from Hezbollah from the north. They’ll let lose with everything they have ii hopes of overwhelming the defenses.

And if the Iranians know what’s good for them, they ought to be. You can’t just mess with Israel 🇮🇱 and not suffer the consequences of your actions.

Do not believe that Iran has the stealthy ,hypersonic missiles or the conventional capability to successfully attack Israel directly.

https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2023/6/7/iran-has-a-hypersonic-missile-what-does-that-mean

Iran has dismissed scepticism over its development of hypersonic missiles, which could reach Israel in seven minutes.

By Maziar Motamedi
Published On 7 Jun 2023

Tehran, Iran – Iran has unveiled Fattah, a hypersonic ballistic missile it says is capable of breaching defence systems, which could cause further concerns for the West and Israel.

[...]

Should Israel and the West be concerned?

Iran has refrained from directly threatening its arch foe Israel in unveiling its latest missile, as it had with some of its previous ones, but the signs are there.

Fattah’s current range is just short of the distance between Tehran and Tel Aviv, but IRGC aerospace chief commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh suggested on Tuesday that the elite force could look to hypersonics with a range of 2,000km (1,242 miles) in the near future.

That is a cap Iran has self-maintained for its expanding range of missiles to assuage Western, and particularly European, concerns about the reach of its projectiles.

At the claimed speeds, Fattah could theoretically reach Israeli targets in under seven minutes. That will leave little room for detection and interception, even for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defence system.

When covering news of the missile’s unveiling, Israeli media widely focused on a previous threat by Iranian media that an Iranian hypersonic projectile could reach Israel in 400 seconds.

Washington, for its part, did not directly comment on the hypersonic missile, but National Security Council official John Kirby said the Biden administration “has been very … firm on pushing back on Iran’s destabilising activities in the region, to include the development of an improving ballistic missile programme”.

The US also introduced a new round of sanctions on Tehran after the unveiling, including sanctions around its ballistic missile programme.

With the recent assassinations, Israel has shown that it can kill any senior leaders in Iran whenever they want to. The government may not care so much if infrastructure is destroyed or ordinary Iranians die, but a threat to the lives of the bigshots, that is another thing entirely.

That is silly. Leaving an option open ended keeps Israel on their toes and wears on their mental state.

the delay in Iran’s attack has caused it to lose the element of surprise

Unless they can mount a surprising attack (Art of War).

Zechariah 8:19

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth [Tisha B’Av], and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.

Iran has been holding off their attack because they don’t want to do anything to disrupt the Harris/Walz momentum.
