The ‘Eagleton Affair’ may not come immediately to mind, except to those who either were old enough to vote in 1972 or are true students of history and politics. Thomas Eagleton was then a 42-year-old senator from Missouri who became George McGovern’s fifth or sixth choice for the VP slot after McGovern had secured the nomination. The more preferred choices had already said no to McGovern, probably the furthest Left candidate ever to run for the Presidency at that time. When so many say no, there is usually a good reason for doing so. McGovern was that reason.
Eagleton lasted about three weeks in total as the VP nominee. News had broken out that he had been under the care of a psychiatrist and had undergone shock therapy for depression. It soon became apparent that Eagleton was a bad choice, who would likely seal the fate of the fledgling McGovern candidacy. He was summarily dumped in favor of one Sargent Shriver, a member of the Kennedy Family by marriage.
The parallels with today’s situation, (shall we term it the ‘Walz affair’?) are unmistakable.
The stolen valor charge, true as it is, will likely not be the end of Harris-Walz ticket, but it does reveal something that reflects negatively on Kamala Harris and her team. If the Harris team is not capable of properly vetting a VP candidate, are they really ready to run the country? How could they have made such a mistake as Walz? Who chaired the selection committee?
Answer: Eric Holder.
When one speaks of people lacking moral convictions and willing to do what it takes to win, the name Eric Holder springs to mind. Additionally, when one thinks of people capable of making huge mistakes, Holder also tops the list.

Younger AND older voters. I know of some dyed-in-the-wool liberals who are in the 50+ range who absolutely think Harris can do no wrong and anybody that she is allied with is in the same boat. They’re so badly brainwashed to think ‘Democrat Right, Conservative Evil’ that very little can change their minds, even if indisputable facts are presented to them.
Democrats have 45% of the national vote locked if they run two chimpanzees for president and VP.
That is just the way it is.
Stolen valor and depression (esp treated by medieveal mechanical means) are not even in the same league in terms of character and culpability.
And that’s before hitting the Nitrous Oxide button.
Let the loser in the race.
We don’t want him replaced with someone better.
It’s possible that by losing the battle and we win the war.
If I had employees who supported her, they would be gone in a minute as there is no way I would trust their judgement in the workplace.
I’m curious to what makes you think Walz could have/may have molested kids.
What makes you think this?
They were in favor of it.
Sure—I will walk you through this step by step.
I do not have all the links at my fingertips but I do have a couple.
So—here is the narrative:
1. Walz’s body language when he met Doug Emhoff was a wildly enthusiastic bear hug. Meanwhile his wife gets a little kiss with no enthusiasm. This is a waving red flag that he is a homosexual.
Watch for yourself:

2. He also founded a very early Gay-Straight Alliance Club (as a teacher) in his high school teaching days. My memory is that it was around 1999.
3. There is more in this NBC article. Students remembered him as “goofy”. “Both Tim and Gwen were incredibly supportive of their gay students”. I think they were grooming these kids and Walz’s wife was a “beard” (false front for homosexuals and/or child molesters).
4. The China trips with students is also mentioned in the article. That would get the kids far away from their parents so he could groom and molest them.
5. He was very enthusiastic about pieces of legislation that put boys tampons in school rest rooms, took trans-gender kids away from their parents, and other legislation mentioned in the NBC article.
P.S. If you want a good laugh keep scrolling down near the bottom of the NBC article where it shows Walz teaching a class. One kid in the class has a shirt and you can read the back of it clearly: “Big Cock Country” with a picture of a bird.
You’re welcome. Glad you liked it.
I’m surprised Holder didn’t pull a Dick (Cheney) and pick himself.
I am a fan of that website… American Thinker.
Then the risk of another “JOYOUS JOYFUL JOY JOY” campaign with the”folksy cool dad” will be upon the democrat simpletons and breathe some life in to them right at the end.
Yep, I remember it well. Back then, once the first report hit the press was like blood in the water sharks. The media wasn’t quite the leftist stooges they are today. It was a forgone conclusion that RN was going to trounce McGovern regardless of who the VP was though.
Wiener-Holder 2028!
No. Keep Walz twisting in the wind for 3 more months.
Very apt comparison! I hope the nomination does the same thing for Harris that the Eagleton nomination did for McGovern!
I have followed that site for years. Lots of good articles appear there.
