BOMBSHELL: Tim Walz's superior officer in the National Guard tells CNN that Walz knew he was going to be deployed to Iraq six months before he decided to retire. He also says Walz promised he would deploy and went back on his word and abandoned his men.

Yep, didn’t know that “L ying dog faced pony soldiers” knew how to Waltz...lol
I have several questions about the Walz debacle.
1. Was he flocked? Meaning that he was an E8 for pay, but held the E9 rank for the position. I had a first Sgt (E7) that was flocked as an E8 until retirement.
2. Did he actually get promoted but had to give it up because he chose retirement over finishing his schooling and getting deployed into combat?
3. Maybe he was an E8 serving as an ‘Acting’ command Sgt major.
I don’t know any of this cause of conflicting reporting. I do know the State’s National Gaurds have different rules and regulations.
I am not defending this POS cause he bailed on his men in time of need. But the circumstances demand further info for an informed decision.
“Wouldn’t it be something else, if Harris has to ditch Walz before the convention?”
Kumulah (she’s African doncha’ you know) may indeed have to boot Walz over the stolen valor issue, then at the DNC they actually ‘vote’ for someone else altogether just as the riots in Chicago are at peak. This is going to be one summer we won’t forget!
Going into convention and having no VP would look bad for dems, their campaign is a disaster.
I am...and I was at the Cafe Carlyle, watching Bobby Short, when the news broke. Crazy what we remember sometimes.
I sure hope so.
We still got no confirmation he even got a retirement award. Someone has to write thebaward citation and submit it for approval. All we know at this time is his highest service award was an arcom. He very well could have just gotten his paperwork mailed to him with no note.
I remember reading about that episode, mostly hearing about it on the evening news, over and over again.
We, as a nation were so naive about treating severe depression, but even today, the fact that Tom Eagleton was hospitalized for depression and given electroshock treatment, even today, that would be an ‘eye opener’, and source of concerned vetting.
Coward, just like the deputy whose bodycam footage was released today.
He's ready to jump in.
The guy interviewed wasn’t Walz’s superior officer. He’s a now retired Sargent Major.
I have a rather basic question; did he “abandon his troops” as described, or did he simply refuse to re-enlist for another couple of years?
We haven’t been drafting men since the mid 70’s. It’s been a volunteer force. I volunteered myself for a few years. I signed the contract for a set number of years active, a set number of years as active reserve. Then I was done with direct obligations to the US Military. All legal and above board.
What happened here that has turned so many of his co workers against him?
A thousand percent! He will simply announce that he doesn't want to be a distraction, and she will pick another far left character. Bernie Sanders?
“I have a rather basic question; did he “abandon his troops” as described, or did he simply refuse to re-enlist for another couple of years”
As stated in the interview, Walz retired as he was allowed to do as he had accured 20 years of service
From what I read he just retired. I would imagine he was hated by his unit. But even after he has claimed combat service and never complained when he was called an “Afghanistan war veteran” and used weasel words to claim he was a combat veteran.
But regardless. Anything to attack a democrat is fine by me with all his lies and evil nature.
The Sergeant Major is known as “The Father” of the battalion.
Why should he put out ads? The Dems are self-destructing without him paying a penny.
Brilliant!
The father of the battalion ran away from his Soldiers who were going to a very dangerous place.
How did that affect the confidence of the Soldiers in the battalion?
They’re already nervous and the Sergeant Major runs away.
