The victim was identified as 65-year-old Jessica Morales, of Menifee....
Authorities say the suspect, 29-year-old Lonnie Hinton from Wildomar, was on parole after being released from prison on March 23 of this year. He served a sentence for second-degree robbery and second-degree burglary.
In 2020, Hinton was arrested after being accused of stabbing an employee at a restaurant in Perris. That employee would survive, but charges for assault with a deadly weapon were dropped as part of a plea deal....

Mrs. Morales was a third-generation latino American who worked for WalMart for 25 years. She is survived by three sons and a large extended family. Coworkers spoke of Jessica as a 'great friend,' loved by everyone and a 'kind and generous' mother and grandmother who "always put people before herself". There is almost an overabundance of "programs" to help the needy. They will give you a place to sleep, three meals, help you find a job. In America, there is no shortage of do-gooders willing to help people in need.

The motive may have been that grandma didn’t unlock the cabinet fast enough, which he took as racism/disrespect, so he killed her. It happened in Cali so some prosecutor will be sensitive to the racism felt by the perp and be lenient. Likely he will be charged with mischief and given probation.
If they say ‘random attack’, it’s a black attacker and an Asian or White victim. They want to assure you that blacks aren’t deliberately attacking other races. So move along, nothing to see here.
