The year's biggest and best meteor shower is upon us, and NASA officials are urging Americans to flee the city this weekend.
The Perseid meteor shower, set to peak from the evening of Sunday through Monday, could produce 50 to 75 shooting stars per hour.
But the US space agency warned that if you live in an urban area, light pollution could dim the cosmic show.
Skygazers should head outside between 12am and 5:30am to see the meteors streak through a pre-dawn sky.
This peak period occurs when there is almost no moon and the sky is especially dark, providing the perfect backdrop for dozens of shooting stars.

Wow! The ultimate “clickbait” headline. My first thought was, “how do meteors know to hit cities only. Then it “hit” me: “I’ll bet it’s about being able to see it with the light polution.🤣

Enemedia headline clickbait.
To: gitmo
I actually like the headline, but someone is going to be in trouble. Imagine the carbon footprint if millions of people were to leave the city just to look up at the sky?

We are proof that click-bait works.

That headline is what is known as "fear porn".
No reason other then to scare people.
The article was ok. Not good, not bad, just ok.

I too thought of the Babylon Bee. I had to double-check the source. The headline may be ok, if they acknowledge that they are telling a joke. Otherwise, it’s just a bad headline (at best).
