My guess is she will "get" 90 million "votes", the bulk of which will be gimmedats and "mail-ins (that arrive well after Polls close)".

What Luntz is not taking into account is the constant VP succession syndrome. Biden - was a VP and by the time he made it to the lead he was senile and demented. VP Harris is an abject moron out of nowhere succeeding someone who ‘has to save democracy by NOT running’ yet still remains President. Now, we’ve go another proposed VP rabid leftist added to the future wings.

If she does an interview with a real journalist, that would be true, but she won’t expose herself to that - No, it will be with a Democrat operative like Stephy, who will only lob soft balls that have been previously approved by her campaign so she has her canned answers (likely on cue cards out of camera shot.)

Luntz is a side show circus personality. He gets focus groups together and tries to predict mega trends. It doesn’t work.
Luntz just tells whatever network he’s on audience what they want to hear. He was just of Fox a couple days ago saying Kamala increase in the polls doesn’t matter because it’s only because she’s all over the news and not to pay attention to them until a couple weeks after the democrat convention and reminding everybody Hillary was 8 points ahead at this point in 2016. Then he goes on CNN (or BBC in this case) with a left leaning audience and sings Kamala’s praises and acts like polls are gospel.

It shows Harris leading Trump 51-46 nationally. (I don’t really know why they do national polling since we do not have national elections—but they do)
I looked at the underlying info on the poll which shows the biases built into the results.
The pollster surveyed 1613 adults. Of those, 1513 are registered voters. So that is 100 that are not even registered to vote. Of those 1513, 1309 indicate they are likely to vote in November. Again, right off the bat we see that this poll is not even of “likely” voters and some surveyed are not even registered, so the results actually tell us very little as to the voting intentions of informed voters.
The poll surveys 39% D, 35% R, and 24% I. It’s weighted at least 4% towards Democrats from the beginning just as most polls seem to be. (Are there actually any “independent” voters anymore?)
This is how the media and their pollsters work to form opinion. Even if one or two polls are not biased, they know that if they include the very slanted polls then those will skew the averages towards Democrats. They then get the headlines of “Polling shows Harris ahead by 4% nationwide”.

You are correct. They gave that same advice to both McCain and Romney and when you look at the list of U.S. Presidents, neither name is on that list.

Notice the media isn’t at all interested in a press conference with Kamala. They are part of her campaign.
