U.S. stocks fell sharply on Monday as part of a global market sell-off centered around U.S. recession fears. Japan’s Nikkei 225 plunged 12% in its worst day since the 1987 Black Monday crash for Wall Street.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1,068 points, or 2.7%. The Nasdaq Composite lost 6%, and the S&P 500 slid 4.2%.
Fears of a U.S. recession were the main culprit for the global market meltdown after Friday’s disappointing July jobs report. Investors are also concerned that the Federal Reserve is behind in cutting interest rates to bolster an economic slowdown, with the central bank choosing instead to keep rates at the highest in two decades last week.

INTC is awful, they were handed 8.5 billion through the chips program and they have no plan for how to grow their chip manufacturing business. I think it will take a few years for them. May as well let your money grown in the meantime. NVDA may be trading in the 80$ range. I’d be a buyer there. Ford at $9, why not.

Steps for success:
1)Take a deep breath, if you have solid companies with great balance books and dividends, that the world can't live without.
2) Go on a hunt. Every dip is an opportunity. Buy companies that George Soros and China can't muck with.
3) Look in the mirror. If you are ok with losses and willing to buy on a down turn, do it. (Be sure to do limit order vs market order if highly volatile)

Well, that IS the plan.
I was ready to buy INTC if Taiwan was invaded...INTC would have been cut in half. I may buy today, but will wait and see if IDF pops off a couple of tactical nukes this week. May buy AAPL and MSFT...both have AAA rated balance books.
Likely just a reaction to the possibility — as unlikely as it may be in the end — of an outright communist being elected president.
