SpaceX launched 23 Starlink satellites into orbit early Friday morning from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 1 a.m., EDT, with the first stage returning to Earth to stick its Atlantic Ocean landing on the drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas.
SpaceX moved back the launch for nearly an hour into the launch window, which opened at 12:19 a.m.
The company did not explain the delay. Factors that could have played a factor in the delay include weather and the position of the drone ship.
Friday's launch was the 12th for the booster using the mission, which included nine previous Starlink launches.
It was SpaceX's fourth launch in less than a week
Boeing cannot be reached for comment.
Nor could the fedgov, both of which are too stubborn to just go ahead and send SpaceX Dragon Crew up to get those two astronauts still stuck in the ISS.
I saw this launch from Orlando. The sky was clear enough for a good view.
Good. The more of those little suckers Elon shoots up in the sky, the better our wifi will be on our cruise in December.
I have read that the ISS has only two âUSAâ compatible docking stations and both are in use now. They would have to ditch the Boeing capsule to dock the Spacex ship. There would be serious financial consequences for Boeing.
Can't happen.
I hope they have lasers aimed at Maduro.
Four launches in a week. Twelve use of this booster. Itâs really incredible.
Boeing has screwed themselves sixteen ways from Sunday all across the board. Their best bet is to try to bring their capsule down remotely. If they try to return the crew and kill them, their space days are over.
Yes. He is a great engineer. And he is moving the remaining CA branches to Texas.
Chomo Joe and Heels up have spent 54 BILLION without connecting a single person to internet.
Elon has spent a few billion and has given access to the entire planet using capitalist philosophy.
All his X’s live in Texas.
Lasers?
No, Maduro deserves a heavier device. Tungsten
These Air Force ârods from Godâ could hit with the force of a nuclear weapon

He has 12 children. With a number of women.
He is leaving CA because public schools warped the mind of one of those children into being a Trans.
I don’t blame him.
Itâs pretty unnerving to see when you have no idea what you are seeing.
After a late start and with a VW van full of talkative, high energy boys, our teacher became exhausted by many hours of driving. In the middle of the night, he pulled over on the side of the road in south Florida for a quick nap. As far as we could tell, we were in the middle of nowhere and it was dark enough that we all expected to soon fall asleep for a few hours.
Within minutes though, one of our group noticed bright lights hovering in the distance. Was it a UFO, we joked? We watched as the lights got brighter and brighter and soon passed overhead with a roar. What was it? A UFO, by definition, at least.
When it happened again, I realized what was going on and announced my theory. We checked our maps and confirmed that by bad luck, we had parked directly in the flight path of the Miami airport. The new miracles of aviation -- 747s -- were passing overhead with their landing lights on, every ten minutes or so.
No rest for the weary, so we pressed on and spent the night at a cheap Cuban motel in Hialeah that had pay radio but no TV. Then to the Everglades for four days of camping and photography.

another instance of science fiction becoming reality ...
Do they have enough customers to offset that expense?
I understand they are selling the satellites for less than the cost of production.
Elon's hope is that Starlink will help fund his future mission to Mars, but if Starlink is a net loss then that will be problematic.
